Good wood chunks. Not a lot of bark. It is not the cheapest but it is definitely a good value for professional or aficionado pit masters. Just the look of the wood tells you that it is many levels above of “supermarket” smoke wood. Higly recommended.

I'm used to buying the cheaper wood from Weber.. that wood works but this wood burns better! It is also "clean" wood meaning it doesn't have dust on it like the cheap stuff. I'm buying more soon.

Perfect for smoking turkey, chicken and pork. The pieces were from small chips (I soak these in water or apple juice for small jobs) up to pieces bigger than softballs (these pieces I do not soak and use for bigger cuts of meat and long smoking).

The box on the right is Apple - good sized, uniform, chunks of wood. The box on the left is hickory - three good sized chunks and a bunch of scrap. Will look elsewhere for my next order.

The description says it's 5 pounds and the shipping label said it was 4 pounds and I weighed it and it was just under 4 pounds. Would rather buy the bags of weber chunks for the price.
