Powerful and Easy to Use — Great for Home Cleaning
I’m really impressed with the Kärcher K5. It has strong pressure, and the Vario Power and Dirtblaster wands make switching between cleaning modes super easy. The built-in hose reel is a big plus — no more tangled hoses! Perfect for cleaning patios, driveways, and even my car. Highly recommend!

Nice Pressure washer...
Be sure you keep your expectations realistic. I replaced my 10+ year old 2100psi 2GPM gasoline pressure washer with this 2000psi 1.4GPM Karcher K5 expecting it to be similar in power. It's not. They are up front that it's 0.6 gallons per minute less. My fault for not grasping how much less that really is...the GPM is what really counts.Don't get me wrong, it works really nice for washing the cars with the variable nozzle, and the turbo nozzle is nice too for blowing the dirt off the walkway. I just cant imagine it doing very well with things like cleaning the algae off the siding on the north end of my house and tougher stuff like that. The good part though... is I don't have to worry about accidentally harming the finish on my cars softer plastic bits and I'm not worried about my wife being able to use it with ease.It is really nice, and Electric is so easy .. no pulling the cord 5-10 times, no gas cans, no oil changes, no treating fuel for the winter... just hook up the hose, plug in the power, and wash. This is a really nice, feature rich unit that feels high quality. It would have been nice if they provided a hose that isn't so stiff...It's not the plastic junk that some come with, but it's also not the more flexible stuff like expensive units. It doesn't come off the reel easy, and as the curves stay in it when its not taught, you gotta be careful around the car as it doesn't just lay on the ground and can spring up and hit the car while you are moving around. Still ok... just a gripe I have.I do recommend this unit for general home use and car washing.

Great company, excellent products
Third Karcher product. First two, a small pressure washer and a floor steam cleaner were as good as could be expected. Great German engineering and substantial build quality. I read the p.w. was built in Italy, but the label on the bottom says, as you would expect, made in China. The pressure is good, the wands are easy to use, simply connect the hose, turn on the water, relieve pressure and turn on and begin work. Came with TWO wands, a high pressure wand and an adjustable pressure wand. Both work very well, but the high pressure wand may be TOO powerful. That said, the unit came with the plastic front foot stabilizer plate cracked and then it promptly broke and fell off. I called Karcher and they sent me a replacement part, but then there was no way to replace it. So I called again, and much to my surprise Karcher offered free replacement of the entire P.W. Amazing. This is one of several companies who back up their products and I will continue to buy them for their quality, value and customer support.

Good electric pressure washer from Karcher
The media could not be loaded. Read a lot of reviews about pressure washers: different makes, models, types etc. And finally decided to stop on Karcher.I know that chinese analogs with same specs are cheaper: sun joes, greenworks etc. And somewhere has better specs but I saw a lot of reviews on YouTube where complained about real values and quality. So I’ve got k5.740 and here my review.Overall quality:Many questions here where it was made. It made in China. But I wouldn’t say that’s bad. The Apple makes all its stuff in China as well so it’s just what quality standards companies use for production. When I opened the box everything inside has been packed very well. No any weird cheap plastic smells or leaks (oils or lubricants).Assembling hints:- use silicon spray for connectors what has rubber rings (pressure hoses). It prevents any damage and leaks then. And it will be easier to assemble.Assemble is pretty straight forward, there is nothing hard.If you’d like to use extension cord - please use at least 14/3 gauge cord. It says: motor needs 15 Amp. So I’ve found 50’ cord at HomeDepot with 15amp max.First use:When you connect water hose DO NOT ON washer!! Just allow water to come out of the gun by regular water pressure. It will remove all air from pump and hoses. After 10-15 seconds you can power on washer.Using:I was really impressed how powerful it is. I cleaned my deck in 20 minutes I think. Please check my pics and video. And another one thing: it’s soooo quiet!! I’d think my neighbors happy by this fact as well. :))Motor has automatic start/stop function but if I fill that I need pause more than one minute I prefer to power off it and drop the pressure. When I ready to continue - just power on it again.Overall thoughts:Pros:high qualityeasy to usegood powerwater consumptionquiet motorCosplastic wheels, I’d prefer if they’d be with rubber coatsoap function is not good. I’ve ordered external foam cannona bit heavy for my wife :))

Unreliable and Expensive
Terrible pressure washer at a high price. This is my second unit. The first one had some minor problems out of the box (pressure hose clip broke off of main unit was the first). Had to get second unit since son left it out in freezing weather. Second unit now has failed to provide pressure after using it for about 15 minutes. It has a mind of its own and decides when to 'come on'. It has full city water pressure and no extension cords. I threw it in the garbage after maximum frustration.

works better than expected
Decided to give the foam cannon a try instead of just using the built in syphoning feature on my pressure washer... Big difference - much more foam - can apply faster and thicker - time to brush if needed then pressure rinse off... Allowed my washing of a 40' Motorcoach to be cut by a third in time and used less water (important for me as I have to truck my water to where I store the Motorcoach)... Worth a try if you are considering this over the syphon on the Pressure Washer.!
