Koh-I-Noor 5.6mm Diameter Mechanical Clutch Lead Holder Pencil - Magic

This item has a nice heavy weight to it, which I like. Others may not like the heavy weight though. The lead inside was broken into 3 pieces when I received it, but that is no problem, I will still use it. My order was received much earlier than expected. Shipped from Czechoslavakia. Amazon shows my order may be lost, but I received it weeks ago. Pleased with this purchase. Love the bright colors of the large size clutch style lead holder. For any who are not aware, the clutch style holders allow the lead to be adjusted to desired length without repeated 'clicking' of the pencil tops. You must grasp the tip of the lead and pull or catch the lead, as it will fall out if you allow it to. It allows for easy changes to different leads without having to take the top off of the pencil. Quite a few pencils have sharpeners in their lids, like this one does. However, I am particular about my sharpeners, so I never use them. I actually don't sharpen my pencils often either, I prefer to work within the "limits" of the large unsharpened lead. For me it is part of the process I would definitely purchase this again. This would make a great gift to anyone you know exploring art, drawing, or just likes being creative. I also chose this style for the hex shape barrel, which is something I prefer, as opposed to round. The price is extremely reasonable and competitive for what you get. A good quality product.
