Masterpiece Artist Canvas Tight-n-Up Canvas Retensioner Spray, 8-Ounce

This product does just what it says it does: It tightens canvas to remove ripples. It's an amazing product. I had ripples on the bottom and top of a canvas print, and it took me 3 treatments to remove them permanently. Wow. What an incredible product!

It does work, however the sprayer sucks. The first canvas I tried to tighten up. I used it as directed. I sprayed multiple times multiple layers and it wasn’t working. Mainly because it’s hard to get the sprayer up into the corners because you have to spray it on the backside of the canvas. Then I sprayed it and used a paintbrush to brush it up in there. It seemed to work. I hung canvas back up, and it reverted back to what I was trying to fix. Then when I went to go spray the sprayer no longer worked. So I had to dump some out in a dish and use a paintbrush.. So that’s how I now apply it. I did buy a new bottle and tried spraying and it wasn’t working. For me the best way to apply. It is with a paintbrush. I was not able to spray it evenly with the spray bottle.

It didn't work for my dent! I want my money back.

I sprayed the back of 2 canvases, and tried to get an even coat, but the spray area was too small and it dried before I finished causing buckling of the canvas.On the 3rd canvas I wet a sponge with plain water, squeezed it out and it worked perfectly and evenly.

This spray works for me if I need to tighten up a canvas that is slightly loose - either before or after painting on it. I had heard it also works for warped canvases, but it did not change the warp on the warped canvas I tried it on. Bummer, bc that would make this product a 10 star product!

Ok after reading reviews I was skeptical but desperate. I had a beautiful oil painting that had one side stretched out beyond belief. It had a heavy painting laying on it.. It sold and I freaked out after I pulled it to pack. I found this product on ebay and I prayed and hoped it would work. Well after first 2 applications..nothing..I sprayed 2 more times before bed. I got up and to my amazement it was back tight as a drum! Omg! It really works!! It works like a miracle!! I had to spray it rub it in about 4 times it did it tightened the heck out of it!!! I didn't wait for them to send me a request for a review..I looked up where I can review this product because it does what it says it does. It didn't smell either!!

Seems to me this contains ingredients that can be made at home. Water might work just as well for most canvases. Will give way after heavy paint applications requiring additional applications.
