Ive used this for a week. It has not get rid of my tinea versicolor. It did however make it less inflamed. Maybe it takes more time than a week to work. My skin is also still raised which indicates the fungus is still alive and well. So, I dont know if it is actually working.

...this really is an unusually effective product. I've had recurring skin problems, including tinea, for decades, and have used lots of treatments--some successful, some not great. Since the most effective treatment I'd found (prescription selenium sulfide 2.5% lotion) was so nasty to use, I usually let the tinea go too long before treating it--the lotion definitely works, but it smells horrible, contaminates everything, and can really burn your skin if you leave it on too long, especially where the skin folds. That was a problem with my latest episode, when my eyelids developed scaliness and darkening that was making me a bit desperate: it was so bad it seemed like it must be something other than tinea (psoriasis? eczema? bacterial? mites? still not sure...), but since I knew sulfur soaps help with all sorts of skin problems, and my usual go-to lotion would be much too harsh to use on delicate skin, I tried this soap. After two weeks, I'm astounded at how well it works: the scaliness on my eyelids is almost gone, the discoloration seems to be fading, and the rest of my face--even my cracked lips--has a much smoother texture and more even tone. Skin feels very clean and, while slightly dry, much calmer overall, with less redness. (I'm guessing this treatment is helping with other skin conditions I hadn't been focused on--rosacea? Hard to tell with a ruddy, freckled complexion.) The soap does not burn your skin: I was cautious about leaving the lather on too long, but eventually found it caused no additional inflammation or peeling, and definitely works better that way. I can live with the scent, considering the benefits. Expensive, definitely: but I'm just so surprised at finding a product that actually works, I seem to be willing to pay extra--just ordered more. This is the fourth sulfur soap brand I've bought on Amazon, and hands down the best in every way.

This has a nice smell. Not sulphury or harsh. It does have some coarseness to it when you use it, like a salt in the soap. This has calmed my skin irritations but not taken the itchiness out of my skin. I think its a good soap, for a Sulphur, just a little pricey!

This is the best stuff in existence. I’m hyper allergic to poison ivy, and this soap is the ONLY over the counter relief I have ever used three decades. I’ve been on steroids for poison ivy, tried calendula, tried calamine lotion, hydrocortisone, prescriptions etc. Nothing works like washing with this soap. As soon as I feel the itch of poison ivy I was the area with this stuff in the shower and throughout the day if I’m itching and it dries out the rash and takes the itch away instantly. I just wish I had this as a kid when my eyes would swell shut and I couldn’t bend my knees due to poison ivy swelling and rash. The scent is actually kind of satisfying once you get used to it. I really like it. It’s the smell of healing to me now. So grateful. Great lather and lasts a while for the size. It is expensive but I wouldn’t ever want to live without it.
