If you have a good power bank that will last for 10hrs, yes, our Cooluli 4L can use through USB connection. For car or motor vehicle use, the engine MUST be turned on first before plugging in the unit. This precaution prevents a power surge that can lead to the unit overheating and/or becoming a potential fire risk. Refer to the “Getting Started” section in your User Manual. We recommend unplugging your cooler/warmer unit when car engine is off as it may drain your car battery.

Q: Is anyone running this unit in a warm home 80-85°f? How does it do?

We keep our home at about 72 degrees so I don't know but I would assume it would work fine.
