Taste is not terrible, at least at first, but causes digestive problems
I tried several times to use this in coffee, which I normally drink with milk and sugar. At first it didn't seem too bad, but then I noticed that it had on odd flavor that changed the flavor of the coffee. On subsequent tries, I noticed even more of an aftertaste, and the somewhat cooling effect of the erythritrol. Plus, although erythritrol is not supposed to do this, either that ingredient or the natural flavorings caused some digestive disturbance, even in small to moderate amounts, which manifests as a feeling of heart palpitations. And in larger amounts of several tablespoons, causes diarrhea. It seems nowadays highly refined stevia based and aspartame based sweeteners can be added to foods without listing them as such, only calling them flavorings or natural flavor. As the manufacturer of Keto-Sweet says, they add a small amount of a proprietary blend of natural flavorings to bring the sweetness of the product to equal the sweetness of the same volume of sugar. As erythritrol is only 70% as sweet as sugar, that means it is made almost 50% sweeter with the so-called natural flavorings. There are many companies now making highly processed Stevia extracts and aspartame based sweeteners that have been approved by the FDA to be labeled "natural flavor". These companies even promote their products based on a so-called "clean label", which means that the product doesn't have to list that there is a nonnutritive sweetener, as it can be hidden under the "natural flavor" designation. Here is a list of some of the names and sources of these nonnutritive and artificial sweeteners that can be called natural flavors:NSF-02 from PureCircleSteviAroma and Zolesse from Sweet Green Fields and Tate & LyleVitosa from HB Natural IngredientsSteviose and Steviarome from AlmendraSoPureTM steviaAnother Stevia extract producer is GLG Life Tech CorporationAspartame analogues - these are considered among the safest nonnutritive sweetness and to have the least off- or after-tastes.Neotame (Newtame, from NutraSweet) - 8000 to 12,000 times sweeter than sugar. I'm not sure that this can be called a natural flavor.Avantame from Ajinomoto (no brand-name yet) derived from aspartame and vanillin, 20,000 times sweeter than sugar. FDA approved for use in foods, except meat and poultry. I think this can be called a flavoring or flavor modifier. Good luck trying to find it to use as a tabletop sweetener--only one company sells it in the United States and you have to be a business to buy it and state your category of user, intended purpose and type of facility, among other information. On a side note, there is a combination of artificial sweeteners which has a long track record of safety in the rest of the world, supported by many safety studies, which, from what I remember in the 1960s, and which others report, tasted the most like sugar with the least off taste or aftertaste, when it was used in soda in the in the United States until 1970. That is a combination of 10 parts sodium cyclamate and one part sodium saccharin, a combination which increases the sweetness of the cyclamate and neutralizes the off tastes of each sweetener. Unfortunately, cyclamates were banned in the United States in 1970, following a sugar industry sponsored study in rats, using high doses, that resulted in bladder cancer in the rats. However later reviews of that study showed that it was only because of specific genetics related to rats, which humans don't have, that they got cancer. Cyclamates have been used for many decades in 100 countries around the world, and in over 50 years, no one has ever gotten sick from using it in normally consumable amounts. The FDA is reviewing it again for the third time, but so far it has not approved it again in the United States, which, along with South Korea, are just about the only countries where is not approved. However, it can be purchased in powder form from certain suppliers. As can saccharin, which has also been found to be safe, the warning about cancer removed from it years ago. In fact, Sweet 'n Low in those other countries outside of the United States and South Korea is actually made from the 10 to 1 ratio of sodium cyclamate and sodium saccharin.

Sweet Deal
Of the non-sugar sweeteners that I've tried since entering diabetes-hood, this is the best tasting.

Sweet on your wallet and your tastebuds
I’m a migraine sufferer. I have eliminated processed foods from my diet and guess what? They have minimized! I put sugar in a lot of my daily foods. I want the taste but not the carbs. I use this from my morning coffee to a sweet baked treat. It doesn’t have that chemical taste or aftertaste. It’s stocked in my cabinets! It should be in yours too!

Works well for trading sugar same measurements
I love this in my coffee but to use in ice teas it sinks to the bottom and stays there. Cup for Cup for baking is nice though

As far as I'm concerned, the best sugar substitute available right now.
I tried this product after Truvia no longer tasted the same to the point I had a hard time enjoying my coffee....which is a crisis! Even though I was trying to lower carbs in my life, after Truvia betrayed me I used sugar...the real thing! I saw this at my local Brookshires and even though it was ungodly expensive I decided I needed to try it. I am soooo glad my frugal self too that leap. My husband said I needed a second job to afford my KetoSweet addiction. I have recommended to numerous coworkers, no one wants a nurse or aide that hasn't had their coffee! In all seriousness, this is a great sugar alternative that takes just like the real thing without the carbs, no after taste, great taste, looks similiar to granulated sugar. I am now buying a large bag ( ok 2 a month) from Amazon after my store was out and I tried Swerve...I do NOT recommend making that mistake!!!
