It charges up my iPod just fine, but anything like my phone or tablet it will not charge. It's not the cable because it works just fine when connected to a wall outlet and it's not the phone or tablet because that same cable charges them up from the wall as well. It just won't connect to my phone or Kindle.

I honestly should have thought of something like this myself! Such a smart idea!I initially bought this Pachyderm charger thinking it would be great for backpacking. Each summer my buddies and I unplug and go for 3-4 day trips on the Pacific Crest Trail. I know what you're thinking...why would I need the charger if the whole purpose is to "unplug". The thing is, I've become so accustomed to using the camera on my iPhone and the battery is dead by the end of the first day (even in airplane mode). I can get slow-mo videos, HD photos and panoramas the ease of using my phone is wonderful.The Pachyderm allows me to recharge my devices as needed and even has 2 USB ports so my buddies can do the same! I suppose it's nice too just in case of emergency we'd have a phone (that was charged!)Now that I have it I see endless possibilities! I use it for my iPad when I watch movies (would be great to have for kids, especially to keep things charged on the plane or in the car on long trips!). I'm getting one for a friend who travels for work constantly and complains about having to find convertible plug ins in foreign countries! This would give him enough phone recharges to last the trip.It's small (about the size of the new iPhone 6) and easily fits into a pants pocket. It has two USB ports on the bottom as well as a plug in so you can charge the actual pachyderm. Mine has blue indicator lights that show 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% to let you know how much charge the device has. I would highly recommend this product, also great as a gift idea. Especially for tough to shop for dads on Father's Day.

I was surprised how fast it recharged my phone from nearly dead. I take this on business trips and it slides in nicely next to my computer and other electronics. It's about the size of my phone, sleek looking. It's such a great accessory to keep on hand when charging your phone is difficult. We've used it camping, building on our property, business trips, and my wife just took it on her girls' weekend so she could be sure to stay in touch with the kids. Love this thing.

I LOVE my Pachyderm power portable USB charger!! I love that it came fully charged and ready to be used. The portable charger is great for traveling. It's ultra-slim design can easily be added to my bag for those times when I'm not around another power source and I can charge more than one device with the dual USB. It's a great gift idea as well. After I received my portable charger. I came back and ordered another! The shipping was fast and any questions I had were answered promptly. Great Company to work with.

Great for Long Haul Flights!
I bought this for long haul flights knowing there wouldn't be any USB charging at my seat. Works great! Quickly charges iPhones, iPads, Mi-Fis. And, of course, doubles as a flashlight, so I could leave one more thing at home. I love that it is slim, so fits easily into my computer bag without making it bulky.

This portable charger has been so helpful with charging my cell phone when I can't get to an outlet during meetings. We also found the dual USB convenient when trying to charge the kids tablets together. We are a competitive soccer family who has many tournaments. Going back to your car is not always an option while out on the field all weekend, so the Pachyderm POWER charger has been beyond useful for those weekend events to provide extra life to our electronics. With having two work phones and my personal cell, along with my wife's Samsung Galaxy cell and the kids tablets, this has been a great asset to our family.
