OchsenkopfOX 638 H 3509 Log Splitter Hammer Rotband Plus

This definitely is a different kind of maul but once you get to know the unique characteristics it will be difficult to go back to the classic design. It is lighter than my classic mauls which my back appreciates but splits logs at least as well. I found best results by stepping forward a half step or so and making contact to ensure the flared part of the blade hits the log first. Didn’t care much for this at first but turned out to be a real advantage. The handle is also different but is obviously designed to last.

Nun mein Fazit nach intensiven bzw. normalen Einsatz. Stiel gebrochen, direkt am Rotband, Kopf inklusive Befestigung.... was soll man dazu sagen. Ersatzstiel siehe Preis....Abfahrt.
