how WELL with this statue do in the elements when placed outside?

Teresa, our statue has held up very well. It is in direct sunlight and very hot here in Texas. I placed about 10 lbs of sand in the base and she is mounted above a small water fall in a water flower garden in our back yard. I primed and painted her with Rust-oleum Textured 7225-830 White . She looks like fine white marble. I used the same on our church statues.

The base on my statue has caved in and the statue was leaning forward. I had to stand her on an angle. Why did this happen?

Have you filled the inside with sand ? If not it could of happened from the heat

How much sand does it take to fill statue?

Your average bag of sand would give it the stability it would need, with some left over. It is a beautiful mold and so glad we purchased it. Well worth the price.

The base of this statue is approximately 13 1/2" x 13 1/2" square.
