High Banked Curve 2/30, 6Piece - Digital 124/132 & Analog

Nice quality track fits perfectly against 1/30 high bank curve

Really fun accessory to your track to add more speed and great racing action! There are some cars that are not recommended for this type of banked curves, but I've found that all the GT cars I own an do not recommend it work fine, just a little scraping noise sometimes.

Not too bad, but I could’ve got it cheaper at a hobby store.

This review is about the 3/30 bank curve. The dozen or so digital 132 cars I own should be able to navigate the curve without scraping the underside of the car in accordance with the restrictive labels (or lack thereof) on the cars’ cases. You can see from the photo showing the curve installed a little above the floor how the tracks are warped causing the joints between track pieces to sag. When crossing these joints, all my cars bottom out and the tires lose contact with the track when crossing the seams. In order to resolve the functionality, the banked curve track must be elevated significantly AND additional supports added at the joints, as per the photos. I used standard track supports I already had to temporarily support the joints. Given that I lacked a permanent solution and the 30 day return period was almost over, I returned the track as defective for a full refund. Note that when I had the track working temporarily, my 911 RSR (and most other cars) took both the inside and outside lanes at full throttle which was really cool. Without the bank curve, I can’t get the cars to full speed on my 10 section straight before having to brake for a curve. The bank curve effectively extends the length of the straight by connecting the back straight to the front straight without having to slow down. If you order one, realize that you will need to spend more $$$ for aftermarket supports or creatively improvise your own solution.
