For SOME reason my parents deprived me of the opportunity to own the coolest night light in existence... the lava lamp. I think they thought it was a safety hazard which knowing how clumsy I was.. is probably based. But when my son recently asked me if HE could own a lava lamp... I immediately jumped on Amazon so he could live out my lava lamp childhood dream. It's really a great lava lamp. Great size, well made, great price and it's big. It's not one of those teeny tiny wannabe lava lamps... this is a lava LAMP. The colors are awesome and it doesnt take an hour to heat up. I also dont think it gets too hot. It does get pretty warm but not so hot it burns. I also do not feel like it's a fire hazard. I highly recommend if you want to live YOUR lava lamp dream too.

Update to initial review:They responded via email within two hours and it was a very simple solution and support was prompt. For that reason I will give them a five. Things happen and they handled it well. It was very convenient to access support . The lamp is gorgeous and working like magic!Original Review:It was beautiful and I loved the look of the lamp. I was careful to read the instructions and not leave it on too long. It advises against longer than 12 hours of use. I never kept in more than 8 hours.Unfortunately the coil came loose on the bottom and the wax just stays in a blob now. I have emailed the manufacturer so we will find out what they do next.

So I bought my daughter one of these as a replacement for one she bought and was nonoperational. Hers looked great right out of the package. The liquid was a clear pink. We have been using it every day for three days and it's perfect.Seeing how much I liked it my husband encouraged me to buy one for myself. I just opened the box and the blue liquid is very cloudy. Can't see through it at all. It doesn't look like the pictures posted by other customers. I'm heating it up for the first time now and keeping my fingers crossed. I was really looking forward to this. If it clears up I will update my review. If not I'll contact the seller and hopefully they can help me like they did their other customers who had the same issue.It didn't work. The wax melted and started moving but the liquid is so cloudy I can barely see the wax. I returning it and getting a replacement sent. I'm trying to not get my hopes up. At least my daughter's lamp works well.Edit: The defective lamp was picked up and the replacement delivered literally the day after I posted my review. They even offered me a full refund even though I had already gotten the new one. Can't ask for better customer service. The last picture is the replacement lamp. Looks so cool 😎

edit : the company was super nice and sent me a new one! the new one isn't as bright as i had hoped still BUT the liquid isn't cloudy in this one! really grateful they sent me another one. the purple against the blue is really pretty.i wish i had tested this before the return window was up i was not able to as i was put on bed rest for a high risk pregnancy and was just now able to test it. i got this because it reminded me of my childhood and i wanted something calming for my room and then eventually for the baby's room. very disappointed in this. it's sooo not bright, to the point that you can barely see anything moving around in there whether it's daytime or nighttime. it's only visible in complete pitch black darkness. and yes the lamp is on. it's ridiculous. i'm extremely disappointed in the product and disappointed that i'm past the return window. i would give zero stars if i could. also takes WAY too long to heat up.

This design is so retro with a more modern appearance than those from the original 60's-70's versions. We'd had these only one night, but love them as much as I knew we would. In my opinion, I'd thought the crystal-clear water version might have let off a bit too much light, so I opted for the color instead, and I'm happy I had. The colorful water ejects a soft glow that adds a whimsical ambiance to the room, plus provides less strain on the eyes since I believe I'll be looking at them constantly. Sooo relaxing.The lamp takes about an hour and twenty minutes to heat the wax inside, so a little bit of patience is needed for the lava to get going. I'm understanding the lightbulbs don't last that long, for which I'm including the Amazon link for replacement bulbs so there are no nights left without these fabulous lamps glowing for a single moment. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0859F2QHY/ . (R39 E17, 30 watt max). The three-piece assembly had taken about two minutes, and that included taking them out of the box and screwing in the bulb. Be prepared to spend hours and hours enjoying them.

Updated review - after following advice on Reddit to leave a new lava lamp plugged in for at least 8 hours for the first use, it is now working as advertised!Purchased for Christmas gift and decided to test prior to gifting based on other reviews. Glad I did because it is defective. Left plugged in for several hours to see if it would start to work and it does nothing. Blue is pretty but the yellow is a solid chunk of non-moving wax.

Bought this for my niece for Christmas and she loves it. Looks great and the size is perfect.

The media could not be loaded. The overall design is nice, it’s not as sturdy and durable as the original Lava lamps but these are super bright and the lava actually rolls around. Very calming and pretty, but the lamp gets HOT. Just don’t place it right next to something!
