Falling apart after less than 2 weeks!
My son had a 15 in wildkin backpack for preschool and kindergarten, plus we use it for multiple car and plane rides. It held up so well and is still in great shape a few years later. I wanted a little bigger backpack for 1st and 2nd grade. I knew I wanted another wildkin, so I ordered this one. I'm so disappointed! The package arrived the 6th of Sept and he used it for the 1st time on Monday Sept 9th. It's currently Sept 19th, and it already falling apart! It hasn't even been 2 weeks. The zipper is coming apart in 2 places. Don't know why this backpack's quality is waybworse than the 15 in but I'm not happy about it. Planning on returning and getting a different brand.

Didn’t last the whole school year.
Ripped netting, hole through bottom and straps don’t stay adjusted. I’m disappointed in this backpack. It felt like good quality when received and had good reviews. I also have purchased 2 lunchboxes in this brand and been satisfied with them. However this is our first backpack that didn’t make it the whole year. It was used by a 2nd grader who didn’t have any books, just folders yet it developed a hole in the bottom. The netting tore open on one side half way through the year and then the other side before year end so a water bottle couldn’t be used there anymore. We had a standard 16oz. And the straps stopped staying in the position we adjusted it to so it would just slide, hang down below the back and bounce around. So we had to tie them. The print is cute but not worth the money if it can’t even last half a year before having issues.

Durable - still good after one year!
UPDATE- 1 Year later: This backpack held up phenomenally through 1st grade (3 quarters) and summer school. Aside from some staining, it’s still in great shape. (These pics were taken today, after one year of use.No tears. The zipper still works. The mesh is still intact. We also purchased the matching lunch box. It’s still in great shape. I recommend both products. My son loves his backpack. We’ve only used it for a month, so I can’t speak to durability yet. I like the mixed color fabric, which hides dirt/stains. My son is in 1st grade, and tall for his age. The backpack fits him well. The zippers appear sturdy. The material is sturdy. The straps seem sturdy. I’m really impressed. I like the extra laptop pocket in the main compartment. I love that they offer a matching shark lunch box. As long as the bag holds up, we will purchase this brand again next year.

Really cute! But will not well-built
My kindergartner loved the shark print. I loved that it was lightweight and roomy enough for all the stuff he needed to take to and from school (homework folder, library books, lunch bag, spare clothes, jacket, etc.) But halfway through the school year, large holes developed in the mesh side pockets that made them unusable. And a large hole ripped in the side seam of the bag itself right as the school year ended. I think I’ll be looking for a sturdier option for next year.

Lightweight but not made well
Nice looking backpack but it's very thin. It's a good size for an elementary aged kid, mine is 8 and the size was good. Overall quality does not seem like it would last. The mesh pockets on the side are very thin and based on previous experience the mesh net will break with daily use of taking a thermos or water bottle in and out. I decided to return this because it's too flimsy.

Poor quality
We love wildkin. I got a backpack for my then 2 year old and it still looks new 2 years later. I ordered him this one now that he's bigger and the quality is just not what His last backpack was. It's definitely not the quality I expected for the price point either. We returned it and found one at the store for $15 that was better quality. The designs are adorable and unique though.

Zipper pull popped off in less than a week's time.
We purchased this backpack for school and within the first week of school the pull of the zipper popped off. The other pull worked for a short time, but now it's not working either. I have a disappointed kid who wants me to buy another one of these because they like the style. But I just don't want to chance it. I've purchased other Wildkin products and this is the first one that has fallen apart on me. I don't know if this means that the quality of their products has gone down or if this backpack was just a one off.

Great Durable Backpack
We had the smaller version of this bag and it was used for 2 years of preschool. It held up so well from daily use for two full years (lots of items going in/out bag daily and zippers worked perfectly. Line that zipper runs on stayed intact. No issues at all) This bag is designed exactly the same, except bigger. We got the bigger size for kindergarten. My son carries a large ipad within a case and it has plenty of room with his lunch bag, snack bag, folders, library book, and folded up jacket. Material is really light and may be considered on the thin side, but EXTREMELY durable. I highly recommend !
