This IS a very nice light weight leash, and the braided cotton thread provides a strong "suspension bridge cable" tensile strength. The "leather" cornices seem more vinyl-like than true leather - hard to tell on these Chinese products - but they do look nice, The collar attachment clip is on the small size, but does well. The one issue I have with the leash is that it seems TOO light. My dog is 65 pounds, and walk alongside of me - he is not a "puller", and knows when and how to heel. But unless I keep the leash taut by pulling it in a bit when he is close by, the light leash tends to get caught up in his legs, and we need to stop and unwind him from the leash. Again - this son't be as much of an issue for folks who have dogs that wander the 6 or so feet that the length of this leash allows. But for others, it may by a minor problem. Overall, it is well constructed, and very light weight without sacrificing strength - all at a good price point. So if the leash fits, buy it!
