International dance superstar Sophia Lucia and Capezio have teamed up to bring you this exclusive, signature pirouette dance shoe. We worked closely with Sophia, the Guinness world record holder of 55 consecutive pirouettes, to create the ideal turning shoe. With a wider eva sole patch for maximum floor coverage, soft leather that shapes and conforms to your foot, and a more rounded toe shape for perfect lines, this shoe is guaranteed to get you in touch with your inner Sophia. Details like the Sophia Lucia ‘lovely heart’ embossed into the leather and her signature on the inside lining make this shoe extra special. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

Great turners!
These are great turners that look great on the foot. They fit as I expected but they do run small. My daughter wears a shoe size 5 and wears an adult medium.

Great!
Comfortable and easy to turn in compared to other turner because of the large leather sole.

SIZE UP!
I ordered up a size and they are still a bit small. I can use them as needed (about an hour) but anything longer my feet would definitely be hurting. So imagine if I had ordered my actual size. Yikes! The material is great but since they are still a bit small. (this might sound weird) I have to keep my toe nails short especially my big toe. It's already started making a wear mark where my big toe sits only after a few uses.Pretty happy with them overall.

Great Lyrical Shoe
I never write amazon reviews but I just had to for these shoes. I’ve been dancing for nearly my whole life and these are by far the best half-sole/ lyrical shoes I have ever come across. Bought these on a whim after my other shoes broke and my only regret is not trying them out earlier. While I won’t say they make my turning technique magically “better”, the bottom of the shoe is extremely flat and very comfortable to turn in. Most lyrical shoes have a seam where the cloth bunches up under the ball of your foot and these do not. For those with a high releve, these will feel so much more comfortable. Be sure to size up, I wear a size 6 street shoe and I bought a Medium.
