As long as you have or can borrow a circular saw and a nail cutter/file this installation is easy. I was confused when I first put this item in my cart because it offered an assembly service for $165. When the service contacted me I asked for clarification - is this charge for the assembly AND installation? They said no just assembly. But they could install it for an additional charge. I decided to try everything myself and I’m a woman (engineer). Well the item did arrive in a huge box (several weeks late) like another reviewer commented, but it came assembled! In my case I was replacing my previous medicine cabinet that had the same width dimension but was about 8” shorter in height. The circular saw was for elongating the the recessed dimensions. And I came across a nail that I had to file off. There are 2 sets of directions but beware, only in tiny font in the corner do they distinguish between “surface” mounted and “recessed” mounting. It was really simple requiring only 4 screws. There was no need for caulking or a filler like another reviewer said and that’s why I included the second photo to prove it. Anyway I love th extra space and there is no problem with the magnifying mirror staying in place like another reviewer commented. I’m going to order another one for my other bathroom!

Needed to replace built in medicine cabinet as part of partial remodel. Few were available that would fit the dimensions of the opening in our wall, and many places didn't have it in stock. I found this on on Amazon listed as used, in very good condition, damage to box. It was listed at over $100 under normal price so I took a chance. There was one slight scuff on the box and it is in perfect new condition.It is very well made. Only thing I am not impressed with is the little plastic supports for the shelves. It is difficult to slide the shelf into the small slots. Overall, very pleased with this medicine cabinet, and got it for less than the basic model.

Sturdy, roomy and sleek looking. Has plenty of storage and the extra mirror is a nice convenient touch.

These cabinets are complicated but worth the effort. I can't give the cabinet 5 stars because the surface mounted ones require the side panels be purchased separately. They cost $90 which tacks on another hundred to the price of the cabinet. Don't try to install the cabinet alone because you can't. It is quite heavy. I purchased two and had to have a professional install them. Well, I didn't actually hire a professional. We are remodeling and hanging and installing accessories was included in the contract. I watched him struggle with it so, I know it won't be a piece of cake as a do it yourself project. I'll amend this review with a picture after the second one is up.

I had it installed in my bathroom and I love it. I wish the magnifying mirror would have been a 10 times strength.
