Quality is excellent
I’m using this on an iPhone 13 Pro Max with a SmallRig cage (you have to have something to mount it on). Quality is impressive for the price - I’m used to $1500+ DSLR lenses. Image quality is excellent. If you have any desire to get into anamorphic video, start here. It will broaden your horizon (pun intended). Excellent for landscape and scenic video.

Makes pictures look awesome with tasteful distortion
Quite well built. This is a great addition to the Moment phone case with proper attachment. I needed to adjust the angle of it for my phone (which was easy), but after that, it was all set to use with no issues it seems. This is best for landscape shots.

Buyer Beware: expensive upgrades and unreliable service
I have been a loyal Moment customer since the company’s early days, purchasing five different lenses, cases, and accessories over the years to support my filmmaking work. I’ve recommended Moment to countless friends and colleagues, believing in their products and vision. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has revealed serious issues with their upgrade system, account reliability, and customer service that I feel compelled to share.Moment’s phone cases change with every new phone, requiring customers to repeatedly purchase new cases to stay compatible. I accepted that as part of staying in their ecosystem. However, their lens system recently underwent a major change, moving from the M-Series to the T-Series lenses. For customers like me, who had invested in multiple lenses, this meant replacing my entire collection. The trade-in program they offered wasn’t a straightforward swap; instead, it provided store credit for old lenses, meaning I still had to pay out of pocket for the T-Series lenses. I complied, purchased a new anamorphic lens with my credit, and thought everything was settled—until I realized the lens was shipped to a random address in Las Vegas. I’ve lived in Austin since I started my Moment account and have never used or entered that address. When I reached out to Moment to resolve the issue, I was told there was “nothing they could do” because the order confirmation had shown the incorrect address. But that address wasn’t one I had ever provided or used. Their account system clearly failed, yet they refused to take responsibility or even investigate further. To make matters worse, Moment’s shipping process is notoriously slow. Waiting for orders is frustrating enough when things go smoothly, but in this case, their error left me with no lens, no resolution, and no accountability on their part. This experience has left me incredibly disappointed. After years of loyalty and significant financial investment in their products, I expected better from Moment. Their lack of accountability and inability to rectify mistakes makes it clear that their customer service does not match the quality of their gear.If you’re considering Moment, here’s what you should know: their business model forces you to repeatedly purchase new cases with every phone upgrade and has now shifted customers to an entirely new lens system, requiring significant reinvestment. Combined with an unreliable account system and slow shipping, you’re taking a risk by investing in their products.Moment’s lenses may be great, but their lack of accountability and poor service make it hard to justify staying in their ecosystem. If you value reliability and good customer service, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Performance
Lens does not mount well on the lens mount nor does the mount fit the cases so using the lens has been difficult as half the lens gets blocked by the mount.

waste of money on a 12,13,14,15 pro
This is for the 1.55 anamorph.1. For ~$100 it seemed worth the risk, but after a $40 case, and the need to buy my own hex wrench (the included one did not fit the lens adjustment screw), and then the mistake of ordering a filter adapter for $60, i was in for $200.2. This anamorph only works on the normal and tele lens, not on the wide lens on an iPhone 13pro.3. in a side to side comparison with the anamorph on the 1x iphone lens compared to the iphone .5 lens, the raw iphone .5 is far superior for these reasons:a. Anamorph has extreme barrel distortion compared to iphone .5 lensb. The iphone lens is significantly sharperc. the field f view of both the anamorph on the 1x and the .5x lens is the same. The iphone lens records in 16x9 so captures a taller image than the anamorph. BUt if you want that extremely wide angle 1.55 look, you will have a sharper more usable image if you just crop top and bottom from the iphone .5x.Conclusion: $200 to get a piece of awkward useless junk ( if you have an iphone 12pro, 13pro, 14pro, 15pro.)
