Great flavor, easy to mix.
I loved the purple taro smoothies I had in Hawaii. This is the PERFECT flavor! Just add your milk of choice, some sweetener, and ice. Use a blender, it doesn't want to mix on it's own. That's caused by the fact that it's basically starch from the pure root ingredients. For those of you citing the "Birth defect risks" of CA's prop 65, remember that hummus and vitamin B12 are among those things listed (that prop has pretty much lost all meaning). This is made with 3 ingredients: two of which are dehydrated vegetable matter, the 3rd is to keep it from clumping in the bag. Definitely purchasing this again!

Great for boba, smoothie or just purple yogurt!
I originally purchased the Suncore taro powder because I wanted to make boba tea at home. This powder gave it a nice dark lilac hue, it dissolved incredibly easy, worked perfectly as intended, but... I discovered that I don't like boba tea.I ended up trying various ways of using it up, and while it's a good product nonetheless, I don't see myself re-purchasing this. The use of this powder comes with the caveat it will not only give a purple hue, but also a mild potato taste. Being basically potato (starch) it gives a nice moistness to bake goods and pancakes, and it kind of works for savory preparations too.Used in smoothie or mixed in yogurt the color is vibrant purple, but used in baking or pancakes it gives a greyish not so fun purple vibe.

Does not work for milk tea
Hahahha I bought this hoping to make taro flavored milk tea at home. However, it doesn’t work at all!!! It becomes a sticky dough consistency and does not dissolve in liquid well. Maybe it’s only intended for baking

Great substitute for artificial dyes!
The media could not be loaded. I'm guessing if you are here you already know this BUT - in case no one has told you yet, artificial dyes and food coloring are incredibly dangerous to ingest. Our family has just been going without for a while, but when planning my daughter's mermaid birthday party, I really wanted to add a little color.I've bought several of Suncore's plant-based food coloring at this point. I haven't loved every one but this one checked all the boxes! It made for a beautiful lilac color (I even was able to get a slightly deeper purple with more powder) and was essentially flavorless. It was a huge hit.

Very disappointed :(
Firstly, when I received the bag, I was shocked! Only 5 ounces for $19?? I had been ordering the QBubble tea (2.2 lbs for $23) but it has 43g of carbs per serving. So I found this one, with only 4g of carbs per serving. I didn't realize when I ordered it, that they actually have the same amount of carbs, but the serving sizes are 1 teaspoon (approx 5 grams) vs. 50 grams for QB. So this product is 1/10 the serving size of QBubble tea. Which means the carbs are the same, just the serving size is different. I can use a much smaller serving size and still get the great taste of taro milk tea with QB. This one doesn't smell good, and tastes like potato. I wouldn't even say sweet potato because there is nothing sweet about it. I decided not to even open it and went to start a return. Nope! No returns allowed. So I figured I'd try it. I took one sip and dumped it out. What a waste.

Make healthier taro boba at home and save money!
Make taro boba at home for less and MUCH healthier! I bought this to try (and a back up bubble tea mix) and this is the way to go IMO. It has way fewer ingredients and tastes wonderful. I add ice, a heaping spoonful on this tarp powder, mostly milk and a splash of a ‘healthy’ coffee creamer (I buy that has milk, sugar and ‘natural ingredient’ but the combo cuts out sooooo many other ingredients from commercial mixes) to my Vitamix and a tiny smidge of Xanthan gum and blend and poor over my boba. So wonderful! Also, this comes in a tiny bag, but that is simply cutting out the ‘mix’ with coffee style creamer in it. So far I’ve made 1-2 drinks a day most days and have some left, it’s lasted about 2 weeks so far. 100% buying again

Great Taro, But Pricey
I got this because my son and friends are really into boba tea and this seemed like a great, additive-free option. I love the color and flavor of this but it basically takes two tablespoons of powder to make a single cup of boba tea. At $20 a bag, it’s just too much. I’ll be using this powder more for baking, and let the kids have the cheaper stuff for their tea.

Great for making taro milk
I bought this to make some homemade dairy free taro milk boba, without all of the non dairy creamer type junk ingredients mixed in. I add a couple teaspoons to some non-dairy milk, in an electric frother, and it mixes up perfectly, for a quick and easy drink.
