So, most of the instructions will inform you to use zzBlank.img on your SDCard, and then mount it using Storagemgr after formatting it to ExFat. What they DON'T tell you, and what was giving me such a huge hang up, is that you HAVE, and I mean absolutely HAVE, to ensure the name is entirely blank. I use Linux, so this was easily accomplished with the terminal, but with Windows, it's easy to make the mistake of naming it, as with Mac.

Vita won't recognize cards without firmware modifications by the user. Though the chances are good that if you know what this product is, you likely know that you're buying it for a modded system. I, however, did not.

Spent hours trying to get this to work, only to test a friend's sd2vita and find out that my configuration and sd card were fine, I was just sent a defective product. My own fault for picking a listing with very few reviews.

I don't like modifying a original network based system and to use that part I would have to do that and then the original Sony network would be compromised and not be the way I want it for network gaming. I went ahead and bought original memory cards instead and love my Vita.

I had an old vita that was collecting dust and now I can make it do so much more. Don't hesitate to get this adapter!
