Lovely, Gorgeous yarn, unfortunately the colour is not as shown
The Yarn quality from Manos Del Uruguay(Members of the World Fair Trade org.) is fabulous so there is absolutely Nothing wrong with the yarn quality. I have ordered a lot of the “Fino” (70% Merino/30%Silk) and LOVE it (avid knitter). This time I ordered Algeria to knit socks in what I thought was a gorgeous dark Teal blue colour. When I received it today the colour is a Yellowish Green with a slight brown hue (not easy to get correct in the picture. So sorry but this is neither the colour I thought I ordered, nor a colour for me…so unfortunately I will have to return it.This is the only of the many colours I have ordered that has not matched the pictures on Amazon and my expectations.

Huge disaster!
I love the look and feel of this yarn BUT it arrived in a terrible state. I have been working with yarn my whole life, I make my own yarn from the wool of my angora rabbits so I am very familiar with how a skein of yarn should be wrapped. I attempted to put this yarn on my swift so I could create cake to work from and it was a complete nightmare! I’ve had to cut the yarn 6 times and it has taken me approximately 9 hours to untangle this ridiculous mess! My husband and son kept asking why I didn’t just throw it away. I will not be purchasing again from this company, while the yarn is beautiful it’s not worth the time and i refuse to risk getting another mess. 😭🧶

Great yarn
I usually buy all my better yarn at a local yarn store, or Michaels for projects that don't require top of the line yarn. I was browsing Amazon and saw that they carry Manos de Uruguay yarn which is a good brand, I have used this brand before; I love autumn colors and found Otono which means fall in Spanish. I received my yarn and the colors are beautiful, the picture on the site does not do it justice. I am glad that during these hard times I don't have to leave the house to buy yarn for my next project. Amazon has a great selection; lots of brand names and colors. The prices are compatible to those you would buy at the store, in some cases some are lower or even on sale. I recommend this brand of yarn, the weight is fingering which is perfect for the cowl I am going to make.Thank you Amazon for letting me buy yarn without leaving the house!

Not as bright as picture
Not as bright as the Picture. Was disappointed because I wanted bright colors. Wasn’t what I was expecting dull colors instead.
