I have been using this laundry soap for about 20 years.

I've been using this Country Save brand for 16 years (as of 2024). We have always purchased the powder version of their formulations.I love that they don't use phosphates or fragrances or stuff that coats the fabric to mask issues. Clothes always come out CLEAN without any odors. Several members of our family have extreme skin sensitivity to certain artificial chemicals and this has been a perfect fit for us. We first switched to this brand when my oldest baby had reactions to previous laundry soaps and to using disposable diapers. I read up on cloth diapering and wasn't sure I wanted to go that route but Several mom blogs mentioned ways to keep it simple and sanitary. I saw several brands of detergents mentioned but this was the one that popped up most frequently with excellent reviews for truly cleaning diapers (other brands left residue that later required "stripping"...ew!) Anyhow we've tested this brand against samples of other "natural" brands over the years and I have not found anything as effective and affordable and gentle as this. We have used it for all sorts of laundry issues over the years and it is tried and true the very best on the market!!! I typically look to buy the 6.25lb (160 / 80 load) box rather than the smaller 80 load box bc it is the most convenient for our family.

Single male and I'm on track to use one box over 3 years. Excellent value for money, good cleaning, no scent or residue. I also have sensitive skin and it doesn't make that worse. HE compatible. Overall Excellent product.

Arrived leaking detergent powder all over. Is it really that hard to prevent the powder from getting out?Switched to this since Biokleen got bought out. Seems to be the next best thing.

Love that this is not a toxic product ! Gentle on the skin - no irritation ! Cleans great !

This box lasted me over a year of cloth diapering, and I had no wash issues. I use cotton prefolds and flats, and this detergent has gotten them clean in two houses. One with softened, acidic water and another with hard, basic water. I do use less detergent than recommended on the box (about 1tsp for a small diaper load in my top loader), it’s pretty strong stuff. Love that it doesn’t contain optical brighteners or fragrances.

I despise bringing home plastic jugs of laundry detergent because so little of recyclable plastic is actually recycled, and only then into another plastic product. That second product is not recyclable! I thought I'd found a detergent free of polyvinyl alcohol, which is an oil-derived plastic. My box of Country Save came shrink wrapped in plastic film and inside the detergent is contained in a plastic bag! I'll keep looking . . .

Bought this as I like to get a bargain for doing my washing. It arrived quickly, was well packaged, and is very economical. the guidance says you only need to use a small amount of the powder, and there is a scoop to guide you. I was quite wary, as I like lots of suds. this washes everything, from whites to colour wash items, exctionally clan. It rinses away very well, and the clothes, especially the towels, are soft and clean. It does not have any fragrance, but they smell clean. It works very well on stains, and my three year old grandson gives me plenty of variety to work with! All in all, this is a great powder if you want a small box, which is easy to store, and very good value for money.

Didn’t wash out food stains from clothes. Didn’t wash whites any better that any other powder detergent. Dried clothes came out stiff and starchy. Definitely not worth the cost with respect to the quality. A plus, absolutely scent free, it rinses really well and is color safe. And it comes with an adorable blue scoop.
