Use with silicon grease for a perfect 100% seal
I use these for vacuum gaskets. The material is easy to cut and drill. Just be sure to remember to order a tub of Silicon grease to obtain a perfect 100% seal. So far it is performing well in vacuum chamber science experiments. It cleans well with alcohol based solvents between experiments.

Excellent for making custom washers/seals
I needed a washer which would seal up the overflow hole of my bath tub. I was sick of having shallow baths and wanted to be able to fill the bath right up to the top without the overflow letting water out. Turns out bath overflow covers are apparently not a popular product so you can't really buy any pre-made.Long story short I used this silicone to create a custom-sized silicone washer which covered my overflow hole. I inserted a chrome bath plug stopper through the middle of the washer and tightened it up through a bit of wood at the back of the bath. I sealed everything up with extra (liquid) silicone and it looks awesome.The 2mm sheet was the perfect thickness to fit under the stopper to keep water out without excess bulk.

The carburettor on my EU2000+ generator started leaking. Finding a new gasket was a headache. So I made a new gasket out of this silicone sheet, using the old gasket as a template. No more leaks, problem solved.
