Is this just distilled water? What is the main ingredient?

Other than stating the contents are ammonia and alcohol free, the ingredients are not listed on the bottle. There is also a caution not to spray it near your eyes and to keep it out of the reach of children. The liquid bubbles up somewhat when you shake the bottle.

How can I wash the microfiber cloth?

I just wash mine in the sink with foaming hand soap (lotion-free), or dawn dish soap. Rinse well and wrap in the microfiber hand towels that I use in my bathroom and kitchen. Then air dry.

Does this product prevent your glasses from fogging up?

No, but it does keep my glasses super clean.

Why did the cloth plus the spray over time cause the edges of my glasses and the nose pieces to turn a shade of pinkish-purple?

If you have coated glasses it can take the coating of your lens off! It may not be safe on your glasses!
