The warmer keeps the wax at a comfortable temperature, which is definitely what you need as ...
Kit was as described. I had seen much cheaper wax warmers and wasn't sure I needed to buy such an expensive one but that said, this was my first experience with self-waxing in the bikini area, and I didn't want to burn myself or have my wax partly solidify. The warmer keeps the wax at a comfortable temperature, which is definitely what you need as a novice as it will take you longer to do the job. I also found the CD helpful even if a little dated; the principles remain the same. The wax worked well - it removed the majority of hair - if strips were removed promptly (if you leave it too long out of fear of pain, then you won't get such a good result - deep breath and pull!).I think that the salon where I've had a couple of bikini waxes done used this warmer too, which also influenced me in selecting this warmer. I haven't used the solutions so far and I have done a couple of waxes now. I just use baby oil to remove any wax residue/stickiness, as that will also moisturise the skin. Maybe a cheaper wax warmer would work just as well, but I am happy with my results using this kit.

Easy to use
This is one of those purchases where I think "why on earth didn't I buy this years ago??!!". Really easy to use, even though the kit didn't come with the DVD as advertised. It gets the wax super hot though so after melting it make sure you turn the heat dial down so you don't burn yourself. Don't leave the wax on your skin too long as it'll go brittle but otherwise I found this really handy.

I decided to invest in this kit and am so happy I did
I have been getting brazilians done professionally for about 2 years. It costs me about $65 (after tip) each time and I would go once every 5 weeks. I decided to invest in this kit and am so happy I did! I have already broken even. I taught my boyfriend how to wax and let him do my armpits first because there is more room for error there. Now we have a great system. This kit contains everything you need. I really recommend asking someone to help you if you are doing a brazilian on your self for the first time. Some things to note:-Hard wax is different than soft wax: It hardens until you can tap on it with your nail and you rip it off as it is (without the paper wax strips). Hard wax is less painful than soft wax. It only sticks to the hairs (not the skin. In fact, if you put hard wax on skin where there is no hair, it will easily peel off. This means you can go over the same patch of skin many times if you can't get some stubborn hairs and it won't irritate your skin). This means that hard wax is very unlikely to cause bruising (unlike soft wax).Hard wax is a little bit less effective than soft wax. The stubborn hairs will be more likely to escape the hard wax than soft wax.In order to rip off hard wax, you have to make a little tab that you can grab on to for the big rip.Soft wax uses those paper strip things so ou dont need to do this. Making this tab involves a little rip and can be painful.-It takes about 10-15 minutes or so for my warmer to melt the wax.-brazilians last about 3 weeks and then it takes about another week before the hair is waxable.I love this product.
