Great, inexpensive replacement for FloTec 20BB
I have two whole house filters in my home. One is used for general water throughout the home and another is used to filter water for my tropical fish.These cartridges are a great bargain at about 1/3rd the price of the ones I used to use and appear to work great. They are an exact fit for the filter housing, no leaks.

Well packed, just as described.
These USED to include statements about the 'nasty bits' the filters were rated to remove but all those have gone away. I wonder why? The 'official' filters have gotten crazy stupid expensive and just 'not worth it' -- is that because they do still carry the filter statements?I'm assuming since they still filter down to the same particle size and have activated carbon in them they will still perform as well, but time shall tell. I'll revise this review if I notice any issues. But for now, 12 filters for the price of two seems like a deal too good to pass up, and these DO appear to be made well and structurally equivalent/better packed so they won't be damaged in transit than the 'full price' OEM filters.

Removes very fine particles well.
Our well, which is 300' deep in the middle of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, tapped into an ancient bed of ultra-fine sediment. The filters I previously used are string-wound, and rated at 1/2 micron. We still got discoloration in the water. These filters, from All Filters, use 1/2 micron coconut shell powder activated carbon (PAC), and give us the cleanest-looking water ever (in 20 years). In addition, these filters are easier to use, as you don't have to deal with making sure the filter is standing straight in the housing before screwing the housing into the top part. I believe (although I cannot prove) this filter can only be surpassed by reverse-osmosis, which puts a lot of water down the drain to provide pure water.
