These hair sticks are beautiful, smooth, and perfect. They don't snag and pull my hair which I have had happen with some wooden hair sticks because of imperfections in the woodgrain but these are smooth as silk. They also aren't ridiculously long like others I have bought, they are the perfect length for my hair which reaches my bra strap and hold well in my pin straight hair, I believe they would work even better in curly hair. I don't often use them together, mostly I use them individually so one stays in my purse and the other on my nightstand. They are absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend them.

I love how smooth it is and that it doesn't have anything for my hair to catch on. I have had sticks in the past with pretty designs but my hair would catch in them. I also like that this blends in pretty well with my hair color. I have hair past my butt, what some would call "classic length" and it holds it up. You just have to know how to use these to hold your hair up. My only minor conplaint is I wish there was more of an s curve to it. I find that shape to be best to put in my hair. But the curve in this was still good and way better than a straight stick. I like the simple style of this, it isn't super obvious I am wearing it. I did notice one of my sticks weighed a little more on the end and the fatter part was a little thicker. No problem really. Update Aug 27, 2023: still love these. I am ordering more because I was dumb and stuck one in a purse with a hole in it and lost it in public.

A few people were complaining that they aren't green as described. That's just the name of it (aka verawood) it's not always gonna be obviously green. Like how sometimes pink quartz is literally white instead of pink. It's just the name. So leaving a poor review because of that is kind of mean. It does get greener with age though. Which explains another review, saying it got more green. Some of y'all need to be careful and stop ruining businesses reputation, like do some research on what you're buying first. Some other people were also questioning if this was real sandlewood, and like I said it's verawood. It smells just like sandlewood, hence the name. I know that smell anywhere! You have to get real close to smell it so it's not like you're gonna walk around stinking, but this is a fragrant wood so it does have a scent. And if you're into spiritual properties of things, verawood is good for healing and protection! I'm gonna carve some runes into mine and drill a hole at the top to add some charms. I did want real sandlewood because hair growth is a thing for it, but it's hard to find honestly. Everything listed as sandlewood I tried was either composit fake wood, or something else. Bummer! They're very sturdy and thick and surprisingly smooth and I love them. I also saw another person say the texture on theirs provides some hold for their hair so it doesn't slip, but I would avoid any hair stick like that. That's your hair snagging, and if you care about damage maybe get a different type. Mine are very smooth though. If yours aren't be careful! I use hair sticks because they prevent damage and cut down on breakage. Letting my hair snag on a textured hair stick would do the opposite.

I have long thick hair and was looking for a hair stick that was a little shorter so I wouldn't stab my husband in the face while hugging him. This works perfectly. They also smell wonderful and have a unique design that aids in keeping hair in place. I would buy these again if something ever happens to the two I ordered.

They are pretty and lightweight and shaped to hold. I crochet hair bun covers and use those, along with these sticks, to keep my hair out of my way. Plus when I switch from bun to ponytail my hair has a nice curl to it because it was coiled up in the bun. I held back a star because one of my sticks had a small gouged out place with a splinter in it that grabbed my hair. I used a metal nail file to smooth it out. It's hard to imagine that someone, whoever has a last look before packaging, could have missed a flaw like that.

These hair sticks are exactly as shown. The wood color is a lovely neutral green. The overall shape is very graceful and pleasing, with a smooth finish on the entire piece. The size is perfect, neither too long nor too short. I've used them a couple of times to hold my hair in a bun, and they worked perfectly. Easy to insert and remove from my hair. Would buy again, and would definitely recommend.

Absolutely love these. Pic to show you the length - the other reviewers’ pics show the color and design. Very sturdy and super smooth and held my hair tight all day. Since discovering hair sticks, I’ll never wear a hair elastic again. Elastics give me a headache and my scalp feels sore from the tension on my hair all day. There’s no tension or pain with hair sticks - make a tight bun or loose and messy. There’s definitely a trick to using hair sticks - watch YouTube how-to’s and practice.
