I bought one of these pens 10 years ago and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Fast forward 6 years and I had a toddler who promptly lost it.I then bought a replacement after much deliberation. The original replacement was fine for the first few weeks and then one morning I went to open it and found the pen had welded to the lid and would not open. I sent it back and was sent a replacement. This one worked well for a few month and then started springing apart during use.I am out of the return period now, however, at least with this “issue” I can still use the pen, I just have to keep sticking it together. Given this I would not recommend purchasing this pen. It is a very expensive luxury item but the quality of the assembly is very poor.

Ever tried to write upside down on electrical tape(admittedly white in colour)... This can do it.. I work as a mechanic and literaly snap most cheap pens in half with the heavy pressure I apply to the barrel...This pen is short enough not to get the leverage to bend but only needs light pressure.. Wipes clean(warning do not grease the o ring or the lid will!! Fall off) replaceable cartridges and robust threads..This is now my faithful companion in a case with an olight s2r Barton 2,victronix mini knife sharpener, leatherman bit set, and a leatherman signal(with blade lock removed to be legal carry..)

This space pen can do all sorts of clever things such as writing underwater. I don't need that feature but I do like to write and do puzzles when in bed and an ordinary pen stops working after a while as gravity sucks the ink away from the working end. I wasn't sure if I believed the claims that the Space Pen works upside down, but it does! They come in a range of colours and these bullet ones are beautiful to behold and touch - they're only a few inches long when capped but, once the cap is placed on the end they lengthen to something most people can cope with even if they have large hands. They make a great gift.

This is my second space pen by Fisher (I forgot to bring my other one away with me, it still works fine). The pen arrived promptly, it was well packaged although the display box was not as nice as the last one. The pen is well made, writes smoothly and is compact enough to be fitted inside a pass holder. I also purchased the small black clip, which fits firmly and securely without any movement. This pen and the one I left in Europe have both been very good purchases that I would highly recommend, no sign of the issues identified in other reviews. My father has had has for about 30 years and that’s still going strong, hopefully mine will still be doing the same in 30 years time. Buy the pen, it looks and writes well and makes a good gift.

Since the 90's when I saw Jerry Seinfeld getting the pen I always wanted one for myself. I waited until I actually needed a pen and I ordered it.It arrived, the pack wasn't sealed and was a bit tatty. The pen itself is tiny, I mean tiny. Has no weight to itself and it sadly feels cheap. I did not test the ink as I knew it wasn't for me at all.
