Testo valido scientificamente e completo per veterinari e genetisti ma anche per allevatori ed appassionati.

This is a great resource for SA GPs or any veterinarian who has a strong interest in preventative medicine.For the DVM, the organization and writing style of this book makes it easy to find the breed and quickly get an idea of the temperament, historical use, conformation and variations, heritable/genetic diseases, genetic testing, and non-genetic breed-related disease predispositions. It also lists known drug sensitivities, summarizes case studies, and for some breeds lists published normal values for relevant diagnostics e.g. normal echo parameters for great danes. It also lists all references at the end of each breed summary.For owners and breeders-- While it contains excellent resources for owners and breeders, you'd be paying full price to only look up one breed, and the information inside this book would be best interpreted with your veterinarian present, so you can ask questions and understand implications of the various diseases-- Maybe share a link with your vet and see if they would be interested in adding it to their practice library!Am currently in veterinary medical school- this book was recommended to by our veterinary genetics professor.The only drawback is that it was published in 2012, thus missing more recent research.

I really was impressed by this book and I was able to find things easily and wasn’t hard to understand. Love the details of testing.
