Fun and educational
There are lots of neat projects that can be built with this.

Great building set
We got this for my grandson’s 11th birthday . He was so excited. He needed something a little more advanced than legos. I would definitely recommend.

Good kit for learning engineering principles. Easy to use.
I bought this for my 5 years old who's a big fan of lego and machines in general. He can actually build these himself and has a lot of fun doing it. The manual comes with interesting theory and experiment for kids to do to learn some of the principles. This part however is likely more targeted at older kids (although my 5 years old with some adult guidance does the experiments). The main reasons for removing a star: - Although this set let you build all items for the 5 individual sets, you only have enough parts to build one of them at a time (I was hoping at least 2). - Many of the models instruction are not included so one has to go online to get them (which was a disappointment to my son when the first thing he wanted to build didn't have instruction in the box) Jury is still out on if he will end up building his own model (or at least making modifications to existing ones) using the parts.

Fun and educational
My 8 year grandson was thrilled with this gift. He had some adult help but was so excited with how many different items could be built from the set. Great educational gift!

Sys-STEM-attically good!
Bought for my 8-yo grandson for Christmas. He loved it. Was able to follow directions easily and built several moving parts motorized structures. He was as engaged as I was delighted to see him create something. Wonderful mind-stimulating .....toy?

Excellent for science class
We are using this as our curriculum for a science class. He reads the book, we discuss it, and then he builds. His favorite part are the builds. What I like most is that they have activities that go with the builds -- if you take this part off what happens -- my son is loving this class We write our answers to the activities in a notebook so that we can keep the kit for our younger son

A step up from Legos
These are my 6 year old's favorite toy now. He was outgrowing Legos and my husband found this to try out. This set is challenging, but he has been able to follow the picture instructions very well on his own. We will be buying different versions of this set in the future.

Stem Creativity
Actual box arrived open in the shipping box, contacted Amazon and was assured all parts in box per number of part bags. Given to son as a gift, easy to follow instructions, creativity and imagination in building different vehicles. Very good product.

I bought this set because I thought my oldest daughter (going into 7th grade) might enjoy it, as well as her younger siblings. We homeschool and it's supposed to be a fun addition to our homeschool curriculum for the upcoming school year. My daughter and her Dad, of course, have greatly enjoyed trying out two of the set-ups already, though we have not yet started school.
