This is a light weight easel that i have used in a variety of ways. It's size is great to slip into a small backpack along with my sketch pad and pencils, or to prop up my iPad when sketching from a photo and also works when watercolor painting.

I love how this easel folds nearly flat for carrying and storing, and takes up such a small space on the work table. It is very sturdy and stable, but it’s small size does limit the size of work it supports. That’s it’s only shortcoming. It’s great!

It’s seems like it will work for traveling in my RV I needed something smaller than I use at home as I have limited space in the RV , I do watercolor and needed one that would lay at a lesser angle than some I reviewed on line as water runs. I think I made a good choice as it is light weight and smaller size. Time will tell .

This easel seems to be well made and the size is as described. However I'm not sure what it's really good for. You can't place a book or magazine on it because there is nothing to hold the pages open. You can only raise it to 45-50 degrees so it's hard to paint in acrylics or oil- you have to really stand over it and look down - instead of in front of it. For drawing or watercolor, because of it's small size, it's probably easier to just hold the paper. I'm sure there are good uses for it, but I just haven't thought of them.

One could not ask for a better small easel. It is perfect for painting small canvases. The fit and finish are also perfect. The use of bamboo will make it nearly indestructible.

The wood is finished with a light clear coat. No rough edges. Its sturdy but lightweight. Folds flat for portability. Adjustable to multiple viewing angles. Works great for both my drawing and as a stand for my iPad Pro 12.9".My teachers suggested getting an easel to draw on especially when putting in the shadows. When drawing flat the shadows do look different than when using an easel and looking at the shadows at an angle.

Very, very nice quality! The easel is nicely finished so it feels good to handle. The ledge to support the painting surface is adjustable to handle both thin sheets of paper or a block of paper. I wanted something simple and easy to use for watercolor desktop work--and inexpensive--this is perfect.

I got it for painting, but I'm using it even more as a base for my Kindle reader and my iPhone! I love that there are so many angles you can adjust to, and so easily. It really is lightweight, and folds flat to stay out of the way when not in use. It holds my gear so I can read while I'm eating, and it's good at night for reading in bed before lights out.I VERY much recommend it!
