Great price and fit

I replaced my failed trunk struts with these. Took me 5 minutes to replace. Now operates good as new. My Lexus SC430 is a 2002 with a spoiler. No more worries about losing an arm or being decapitated due to failed trunk struts. Saved a small fortune versus replacing with Lexus OEM parts. Retirement savings intact. Thanks for that.

It was easy to install but the lift is a little weak. My Lexus SC430 trunk lid is heavy and I need to put some heft in to lift it and then half way up the shock takes over.

Great replacement at a great price. Installation involves supporting the trunk with a stick or having someone hold it up. You then take a small flat head screwdriver and slip it in from the top on the little C clip that exist on both sides of the support. You pry the c-clip out part of the way and the support comes right off. Do the same on the new support. Place it over the ball that it sits on and push it in place. That just push the C-clamp back on and you're done. Literally took me less than 5 minutes. These supports sale no matter what kind of car you have. I have replaced them on Corvettes Fords and Toyotas. Good luck

Installed on my SC430 in about 5 mins. Works great. Other brand was no better than the dead one I had. These are the ones that do what they claim. Holds trucnk with spoiler up with no worries of it falling and hitting my in the head.

10-15 minute install in my 2002 SC430 (with spoiler). Fits perfectly and trunk now lifts itself to full open once manually opened past just over 1 foot.1. Definitely use a pole to prop the trunk open during installation and complete one side at a time. Thin end of the strut is positioned down.2. There was NO need to do anything special regarding the drop top. The original struts can be removed WITHOUT opening/closing drop top to remove the lower retention clip. Just use a small screwdriver to pry one end of the existing retention clip complete free from the bottom ball snap. Then you can pop the bottom end of the original strut off. Use a small piece of wood as a fulcrum for a large screwdriver and you have the bottom end freed easily.3. The top end of the existing strut will come off easily once you pry one end of its retention clip free.4. Pop the bottom joint of the new strut into place first. You may need to slightly lift the trunk to align the top end of the strut.
