Love and recommend the quality tea but received old packaging.
I'll highly recommend this tea and I'm a huge Juniper Ridge fan and have several of their wonderful things like the oils, incense and some of the old body washes, I treasure them. Not too many companies this close to the source, careful and they do good work. This is my second package, first from amazon. I got this tea for the white sage part. I have some white sage from a friend but not sure if it's ok for tea. This tea has got a fairly strong mint flavor. I was a bit worried since I get a light allergic reaction to some mints but not to this tea. To me that says that Juniper Ridge really uses high quality and carefully selected plants, as with everything they do, it's real quality. The tea is very pleasant, the sage is powerful but not overwhelming. It has good body, refreshing but fortifying, evocative of outdoors and calming. I even left the used bag on the counter overnight for the pleasant scent. It's a special tea, feels real deal, not just some overmarketed cardboardy herbal tea with added flavorings. Next best thing to having a source and know how to get your own ingredients. Definitely worth checking out!My only complaint with this order is I received their old packaging. I know they switched to cardboard boxes earlier in the year (as shown in the product listing) but i got the old metal canister. Maybe it keeps better in the can, so a mxed blessing but I hope just the can was old stock and not the tea. Probably better to buy directly from their website if you want to skip the free shipping. Had the packaging been what is on the listing, it's 5 stars, definitely, and I'm sure the tea is fine.

A Peak Tea Experience (Plus Vitamin C)!!!
I have always loved the aroma of evergreen, particularly rosemary but any of these needled beauties gives you atmosphere and health benefits as well. But this one really blew me away! To be honest, I did mix it with my usual Stash Fusion (green / white) tea blend (and spices -- anise seed powder, cinnamon, cloves -- plus a little slippery elm, elderberry and Manuka honey). Then it was like a forest that had suddenly sprung up in my mouth! Every sip brought different awakening sensations. The night before drinking, I looked up Douglas Fir in my massive 'Cornucopia II' edible plants book, and it also gave rave reviews. You can use it to season poultry and other meats (which I did this afternoon, with salmon) and it gave a subtle smoky flavor. But I think a marinade might be a better application there, so I will have to try that. 'Cornucopia II' also says it is high in Vitamin C; after drinking it, later in the afternoon or evening it felt like it was strengthening my lungs (a bit like Pycnogenol or pine bark extract). Being asthmatic, that's also life changing! Altogether this is an extraordinary peak tea experience. The tea is a bit pricy and you are supposed to steep it for ten minutes (three worked fine for me). I will have to thank the Magic lady who sold me this as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants an out-of-this-world (while very down-to-earth) experience. Let the Douglas fir spring forth the dormant forest of life that lurks within!

Lovely tea!
I was first introduced to pine needle tea by someone who hand foraged them in Oregon and I immediately fell in love. This tea is almost as good as the freshly-picked tea from years ago. In fact, I bought two boxes thinking I would give the second away as a gift, but I love it so much I am keeping both boxes for myself. It tastes just as the descriptions says: citrusy, piney, and with a naturally sweet honey/honeysuckle taste. Lovely!

This tea is everything
I bought their Douglas Fir Spring Tips tea from a local store and fell in love with it. The local store sold out of it and they were also out of it on Amazon, so I tried the Fir and Rose Hip Tea. I am back today for my third box of it. While I actually prefer the spring tip tea without the rose hips, it is an acceptable substitute. It also smells really good.I have used it to make hot and iced tea and both were excellent.I feel like I should mention, because another reviewer said this tea made them sick, that some people can be sensitive to rose hips and a side effect of using them is nausea. If you've never ingested rose hips before, you might want to add this into your diet a little at a time or steep your bag for only a few minutes. The tea is plenty flavorable without much time steeping. My husband and I both used this tea everyday for a week with no adverse effects.

A sip of forest
Juniper Ridge makes very fine products. They are a little expensive (for me) but are hand picked and thoughtfully prepared. I appreciate a portion of profit goes to Wild Nature organizations.Douglas Fir tip tea is not what a tea drinker might first think of but an herbalist might. :> I don't drink it often but when I do it is JUST the thing for waking up the mind to great appreciation. I have a friend who once lived in the forest, and now lives in the desert. I give it to her every December. She says to brew a cup and sip takes her back to her best forest memories, almost like being there. It is a strong scent, slightly astringent taste but still smooth. It tastes like forest. If you like herby rather than fruity tastes sometimes, you will like it. And if not, someone will. It will keep in these cans for a long time.
