1 Pound Premium Whole Fennel Seed Spice (16 Ounce Seeds)

I found this to be a great deal. The only thing that may distract you with this purchase is that you get some "extra" in the mix. The extras are what result from the harvesting process. Most farm raised people will know that a little winnowing will get rid of that, leaving you with nothing but seeds afterwards. I'm still giving it 5 stars because it's a great deal and I'm familiar with the harvesting processes of many crops. Those little parts of the plant won't hurt anything, and they can be easily removed. I'll be looking to this seller for other spices in the future as needed.

I find this fennel to be quite awesome. And having a large 1 pound container gives me opportunities to use it more often and in more recipes. I use it 2 ways, in its original seed form then I powder it in my coffee grinder or mini food processor. I keep the powder in an old spice shaker jar. A salt or pepper shaker works too. I love dusting sandwiches, eggs, pasta, rice, burgers just about anything with its unique aniseed flavor it gives many dishes a new dimension. The fennel seeds are excellent on and in many recipes as well. Great on a sausage and onion pizza ! Tasty fennel,great price.

Immediately upon receiving this, I opened it and it is already stale. There is not even any smell to it. and fennel seed normally has a very distinct smell. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

This is awesome fennel seed! I don't know why anyone would want to pay more for another brand. I use fennel seed when making breakfast sausage from low fat ground turkey. It's delicious! You won't have any problem finding turkey sausage recipes on the internet. I highly recommend these fennel seeds and this seller!

Excellent, flavorful, fennel seeds. I grind 1 Tbsp of these, 2 Tbsps of caraway seeds, and a heaping tsp of coriander seeds in my Starbucks coffee grinder, then add them to my home made wheat/rye bread.
