Pretty nice
For something pre constructed and sold on Amazon this thing is actually pretty nice. Not a full on suit, only a poncho so don’t expect it to cover your lower legs. They really cheaped out on the carry bag so expect to replace it after a few uses. After spending some time untangling the material and teasing it a bit to get a more “bushy” texture I think this will work quite nicely on my hunt this weekend. Speaking of, mine did not have a strong odor like other comments.

That it works
I liked everything about it, I'm 6ft. and it fits perfect, plenty long enough, great for coyote hunting, or any other hunting, as others have said you will need to fluff the strings out, no time at all, mine didn't have any weird smell as others have said, I'm very pleased, and yes I would recommend it highly.

Nice, decent camo poncho.
These Ghillie Poncho's are like most of the lower end Ghillie sets, they have a peculiar smell (not quite mouldy and not really a CIF smell, but close), and they have loose strings. Neither of those things are a negative for me. The smell goes away after leaving them to air out for a day, and the lose strings are easily re-attached. Matter of fact, you should be adding colors and textures that match your chosen area anyhow to get the most from your Ghillie.Advice: Carefully lay your poncho out, and fluff out the strings. When it arrives they are pretty much uniform in pattern, but with a little work you can get them to fill in more of the pattern and then it is easier to see where you need to add in additional materials (jute, yarn, strips of ragged old uniform)

Worked better than hoped!
Season end update: Everything below still goes but I wanted to run back over here and mention that the thing worked for me mid-season. Sitting in my chair in the open watching over a field I had a spot of luck. A deer worked around at 85 yards frequently glancing in my direction which was normal as I was on the edge of the road leading into the place. Sitting still with my binoculars I watched it for awhile before leisurely taking aim. If I had not had the suit it would have made me immediately. And one more thing, though the suit is full of holes it is amazingly warm. So happens I have another suit which is pretty much camo material with some cutouts. It's better than nothing but the EAmber Ghillie Poncho Suit Camo is far superior for the purpose. Couldn't be more tickled!Update: I did manage to take it for a hunting spin. It is its own ground blind. I couldn't be more pleased with it. Didn't get a chance to deer or turkey test it yet. The invitation was out but no one showed up. Drat! One caveat. The suit comes with a pretty nasty chemical smell. The dyes, I suppose. It's manageable out of the box but I don't care much for it. Don't know if you can wash it and I'm not going to experiment. So far it's been hanging out in the garage for nearly two months. The smell is half of what it was but it's still there. So be advised, buy early and hang long.====================I am what you call 'old' hunter and I know my climbing days are growing fewer. I have always used a camo net for ground bow hunting with mixed results so I thought I'd try a Ghillie suit. That's different. So here's what happened. My wife was at work when my dandy EAmber Ghillie Poncho Suit arrived. My first plan was to crouch in the hall. But I nixed that because I don't care for screams. My screams when she would either kick or shoot me. So on to Plan B. I told her that a monster had shown up in the back yard and that I had fed it, though I shouldn't have...and to be real careful when she got home. Told her RIGHT WHERE TO LOOK... Photo proof provided. Hid in plain sight. She got home, looked. Went inside. I called her. She came out two more times. (I was astounded!) She ONLY figgered it was me when the new cedar stump started giggling. Or pile of moss or whatever. Worked beyond my wildest dreams. The suit is very light and consists of wads of camo string glommed onto thin netting. It has a head hoodie thing with an opening for your face (thus my addition of my camo skeeter head net). You *can* see through the netting if you decide to go completely native. The hoodie has snaps and pull string closures. Comes with a bag...and unlike you might think at first, as the bag is small, the suit easily stuffs back into it. Worth mentioning, the sides where your arms rest are made in such a way that when it's time to get to work with your trusty bow you won't gather in much suit. In other words, there is more freedom of movement than you'd think. You should do a little practice with your new EAmber Ghillie Poncho Suit and it'll make perfect sense. The suit should only be put on AFTER you get your stand set up. It will snag on everything. Air it out before use.So...I think you're going to like it. A lot...and you sure can't beat the price. A lot of work goes into these things. Wow! I like it because unlike the others for sale where you look like a human beast thing with leaves on it... wearing the EAmber Ghillie Poncho Suit you look like just another rotted soggy woods glump. Invisible. And PS...I see everyone else is including photos. There is a reason for that. First thing YOU will want to do with yours is to have someone snap a pic of you. It's fun!

Works Great
This is an excellent suit for hunting or just scaring people. My kids were quite scared when I first put it on but then it was all fun.I, unfortunately, did not have the chance to use it out hunting but this is what I learned from wearing it for a little while. Its actually pretty comfortable. It sits like a poncho so you have full control of your hands. The head has plenty of room and its very easy to see out of it.I didn't try shooting arrows from it but I can see how it might get in the way a bit.Using this for cover is great but I would defiantly let it air out for a number of days.Mine was quite stinky from the bag so I let it sit outside for a few days to air out.You can consider washing it as well but then leave it out to air dry.The color is great for typical foliage. Maybe not winter in the northeast but use your head wisely on that.I really like the suit and Im looking forward to using it next year!

I set it on the ground to take a picture... and lost it
Ok... not really. But this is a pretty adaptable set of yarn colors that blend with a variety of environments.I am 6’4” and might prefer if this were a bit longer. The rumors are true. There was a weird smell on this poncho-shaped camo suit right out of the package. For the $ I expected it to be less robust. And at first glance there were lots of areas with no yarn. But after 5 min of brushing the yarn lightly with my hands the camo is spread out much better.Overall I am very pleased.
