AWSOME BELT
In love with this belt second one I bought in 2 weeks first one I bought was off of the official 5.11 website I ordered a size too big was still usable and worked ok to keep my pants up even with all of the things I edc for work 8 hours a day not uncomfortable at all however belt was a little too big and wasn't able to tighten to the point I would need to carry a firearm (full size handgun) and because of that the gun would sag ever so slightly now I can't and don't carry very often at all because I can only open carry at my age in my state and can't get into a car so it's only when I walk the dogs or explore the nearby woods .. alone . so I just got paid and said what the hell im buying another one that properly fits and being the impatient person i am I bought off of Amazon for the fast shipping Plus since I already had a confirmed genuine belt from the official 5.11 website i would be able to spot a fake right away.. however that was a non issue belt arrived super fast chose 1 day shipping lol .. (impatient and had the money lol . belt was and is indeed the real deal Belt fits perfectly wear a size 32 pants and ordered the medium fits perfectly:) And supports the gun much better This belt is super ridged and Won't bend over unless you really force it ! Plus the 6000 lb rated buckle is a really nice plus really nice having that just incase I have to climb up high for work which could happen lol since anything is possible at my job ... and where I work it's a great tool and belt love it ! Love knowing I can clip in and even rappell from a high point in an extreme emergency which the belt was designed for only for EMERGENCIES ONLY !!! Not designed for regular rappelling!!! But nice knowing it's there JUST INCASE PLUS the look on people's faces when you tell them the belt buckle is rated to 6000lbs ! very overkill but i like overkill lol anyways I love the belt a great alternative to a leather gun belt at a fraction of the cost I trust this belt with my life ! and holding all of my gear tools and most important and normal use holding my pants up comfortably and perfectly! great buy you will not be disappointed I don't think ill ever buy another belt other than the 511 trainers belt for the rest of my life!

High quality EDC belt
The 5.11 trainer belt is an excellent example of an everyday carry belt. An edc belt needs to have a few key features in order to support the weight that rides on it and this belt does that job nicely. This belt is very rigid however isn't so stiff that it cuts into your body when you really tighten it. Rigidity is necessary feature of a belt if your carrying a firearm. I have used this belt with a Galco inside the waistband holster and an outside the waistband Blackhawk Serpa holster. Both holsters stay upright and do not flop around when I move. The buckle is probably the toughest feature of this belt. The loose end of the belt feeds through the buckle and around a captured floating bar out the direction the belt end comes trough your belt loops. Once the excess flap is tucked into your belt loops and velcroed to the body of the belt it is locked solid without any possibility of loosening unless you choose to loosen it. Build quality is excellent. The stitching leaves most other tactical gear in the dust. The belt has two layers of nylon stitched together with five rows of stitching. The buckle is loop stiched in with box-x stitching capturing the buckle at the end. A loop Velcro strip is stitched onto the body of the belt for approximately 1/4 of the belt. The loose end has a hook Velcro strip that attaches to the loop section when the belt is tightened. Overall this belt has a level of quality that doesn't exist in a lot of other products. The price of this product is very reasonable considering what other belts in this category cost.

Solid belt - Pairs well w/cargo shorts or tactical pants
Bottom Line: Excellent belt that is extremely sturdy and evenly distributes the weight of all attached items (i.e. IWB / OWB carry, survival knife, leatherman, etc.) The 5.11 Tactical Training 1.5 inch Belt is extremely study and a perfect match to the 5.11 TacLite Pro Tactical Pants. I an a size 36 and normally wear size 36 pants (jean, TacLite Pro, cargo shorts.) This belt is excellent for IWB (Springfield XD-S 3.3" .45) or OWB carry (Springfield XD-45 Tactical in a Blackhawk Serpa Paddle Holster.) It also works well paired with tactical pants or cargo shorts when hiking or backpacking. (My pack unintentionally rested on the back of my belt--which took some of the strain off of my shoulders!) I agree with the other posts concerning 5.11's recommending sizing. I found the X-Large to be a perfect fit and recommend purchasing one size above 5.11's website's listing. For instance, if you're normally size 36-38, opt for the XL vs. the L. 5.11's Sizing (from their website): S 28-30 M 32-34 L 36-38 XL 40-42 XXL 44-46 3XL 48-50 4XL 52-54 Go with the next higher size. Overall, I highly recommend this belt!

Awsome belt!
I got this belt for $30 and it truly is awsome. I have a $80ish dollar comp-tac leather re-enforced belt and this belt performs almost as well as the comp-tac! The biggest pro for this belt is the fact that is very comfortable and easy to adjust. For CCW use (I carry a Glock 23 + 2 spare mags daily) I have not noticed any of the problems that you would see with a cheap $10 wal-mart belt. The only con about this belt is the price... I got it with a discount price of $30... it seems that the standard price is $60. I could easily justify $30 but I would have a hard time spending $60... with that much money into a belt I would probably go with the comp-tac. Lately I have been using the 5.11 belt more and more over my $80 comp-tac... One more great product from 5.11!!! But, as usual with most of their items... best to wait for a sell. (UPDATE) I have bought a second one these (due to weight loss) and I even was willing to pay the extra $10 more than I did last time. This is a great belt all on it's own. It is even better if you are in the process of weight loss since it is more adjustable than your typical leather belt. But, there is a point when you do have to get a smaller size since when you hit where the velcrow is you cannot truly get the belt any tighter than that. Also, even if you are not losing weight it is possible to get this belt tighter than your typical leather belt since you have more adjustment with this type of belt. Anyway, having the other belt has held up quite well with hard daily use (always at least 1 firearm holster).

Great belt for the price, but...
Seems like a very well constructed belt. I bought it simply to have a casual and sturdy belt to wear with cargo shorts and jeans when I carry concealed inside the waistband (IWB). I have a 31" waist and am carrying a Glock 26 compact 9mm in a Crossbreed supertuck holster and it works really well. The 1.5" size fits the j-hooks on my holster perfectly and the belt has a lot of vertical rigidity so no sagging, etc. I would definitely recommend going up a size as others have mentioned. I bought the large size which is supposed to be for 36" to 38" waist, but I'd guess that's waist without a concealed pistol. With my 31" waist and weapon, the belt pulls tight to about two inches before the loop (aka velcro) material starts. Dropping down to medium puts in you 32-34" range and I think that would bring the lead end with the hook material back to just past my first belt loop. If I didn't have the gun on me then yeah, large would be too big, but with it, large fits me best. Edit: After six months or so of using this belt, I've found myself using it less and less because of how inconvenient it is to use a public rest room, and that means I'm carrying less, defeating the purpose of having a carry permit, gun and belt to begin with. If you have button fly pants/shorts and/or underwear that you have to pull down, you'll start to get annoyed with the belt since using a urinal means stand awkwardly so the weight of your gun won't pull your shorts down when you unhook the belt, unhook the belt which means a loud ziiiiip sound as the velcro pulls apart, then fiddle with the metal buckle to pull what is now a long length of belt out of it, do your business, then put everything back together. I'm now on the lookout for a gun belt I can cut or size to length with a hook-in type buckle so I just latch/snap/hook the buckle easy on easy off but still supportive of a gun.

11 Tactical "trainer" belt after having owned a few of the thicker "operator" belts and being very pleased with their performanc
I ordered the 5.11 Tactical "trainer" belt after having owned a few of the thicker "operator" belts and being very pleased with their performance. I like the thinner height of the trainer belt, as it fits my Otterbox belt clip for the company issued phone that I have to carry at work. It has the same heavy duty metal buckle as the operator belt, which can be used for emergency repelling (I spend some of my day working aerially on telephone / power poles) and this feature comes in handy in case of a safety belt failure or issue. Because the belt relies on a velcro closure it is adjustable to an infinite amount of sizes, so it always fits right. The belt also goes well with any pair of jeans on the weekend. I would absolutely recommend this belt to anyone looking for a well made belt for a fair price.
