It's revival time as you bring back your personal relationship with God through this Bible study.Biblical solutions to an unstable world and personal revival are found within this six week Bible study. The topics include:Week 1: Raising the White Flag (surrender)Week 2: Recognizing Counterfeits and the Real Deal (idolatry)Week 3: Opening Our Ears (listening)Week 4: Staying Spiritually Sensitive (heart issues)Week 5: Quitting the Blame Game (personal responsibility)Week 6: Finding the Source of Our Hope (the promised Messiah)It is my prayer that every women's ministry, home Bible study, and online Bible group will work through Jeremiah by Melissa Spoelstra. Don't let unfamiliarity with the author exclude you from missing these life-changing lessons. Study the book! You'll also find FREE resources for a deeper study on the publisher's website, including historical information and commentaries on Jeremiah.Once I finished this Bible study, I immediately wanted to work through it again...it's filled with ideas for applying Scripture to your everyday life.Melissa Spoelstra Quotes From This Book:>> In Christian circles, ambition to do something big can be labeled as pride or self-promotion. Somehow we convince ourselves that humility means staying under the radar and not attempting anything great for God.>> Our culture says "blessed are those who are rich, happy, proud, selfish, self-indulgent, critical, promiscuous, demanding, and rewarded." Jesus says "blessed are the pure" (v. 8 NIV). Our world says to mix in a little "bad girl." God's standards starkly contrast what our media and culture label as desirable. He blesses those who are poor, sorrowful, humble, hungry for what is right, merciful, pure, peaceable, and persecuted.>> Cultures change one person at a time. The first step in turning the tide of our nation starts with a look in the mirror. The only person I can truly change is me. As we take steps of obedience toward God and realize the ramifications of our personal idolatry, it causes a ripple effect to those in our spheres of influence.

A blessing
This is a deep study that has motivated me to delve into bible study and be more disciplined. I had been feeling far away from God, and wasn't sure he even cared about me. I had let the world and it's problems and disappointments get me down instead of being grounded in my faith. There are excellent questions that make me want to pursue God instead of turn away. I'm closer and my faith is stronger and I don't ever want to be far from God again. It takes time, but it's broken up into daily studies and easy to follow. It's the challenge that I needed.

Wonderful theological study
I am in a home Bible study and we just finished this one. It is by far one of our favorite studies we have done. I feel the author is sound in her theology

This book is well written and very informative. Melissa does a great job of tying the Old Testament to our modern day lives. She makes Jeremiah much easier to understand and applicable to our lives now. I highly recommend this book.

Loved it!
This bible study was SO good! It couldn’t have come at a better time with everything going on in the world. This study guided me to redirect my focus onto God who never changes! His promises and love for his people stand true! This study also helped me dive deep into my own heart revealing sins (idols) within my own life that I needed to repent of! I can honestly say God did such a deep work in my heart through this study! I highly recommend it to anyone who wanting to draw closer to God and hold on to hope in this unstable world! I can’t wait to do another one of her studies! Thank you Melissa!

Hope?
I found so little in this study I began to dread doing it. I didn't finish it, it was too depressing and it seemed like the author really didn't enjoy it either. The lessons I did didn't seem to have any point, it was just questions for questions sake that didn't seem to lead anywhere. I'm really disappointed with this purchase, especially after how good her other study on forgiveness was. I'd return this one, if I could.
