Excellent condition.
Really pleased with both the speed of delivery and condition of the book. I have a lot of interest on the Poles part of the war and having visited AUDLEY End recently decided to buy the book, although yet to read it.

The story of the Polish Secion of SOE in WW2.
This is the little known story of the Polish section of SOE. Several hundred Poles were trained and parachuted into German occupied Poland during the war. They became known as the "Cicho Ciemni" the Silent & Unseen who performed acts of sabotage and resistance against the Germans while struggling against all the odds. When the Soviets entered Poland SOE operatives became hunted by the NKVD no less than they had been by the Gestapo.

Station 43 - Audley End, World War II
An excellent book. Having visited this beautiful Stately home I was curious to see what this was about when I saw it mentioned in the Reception area. It was quite an eye opener. Worth reading if you are interested in World War II history. This was the most unlikely siting for an SOE station. But that was what made it so good. A great read.

An aspect of the SOE story not commonly known. Being able to visit the National Trust property almost makes it a guidebook too.

This book originally made a reference to my Partners late Polish father. This addition has had his name changed and now states they believe it to be someone else. We have the original photo of Kazakhstan so it was disappointing to have someone else's name under his photo.
