Cannot display Caller ID (CID)
The phone is a very nice piece of electronics but without CID support is now just an 'expensive' paperweight.Once all of the firmware and applications on the phone were updated through the 'Microsoft Teams Admin' portal almost everything seems to be working well. The one item that I think is hard to lose though is displaying the inbound caller ID or CID on the phone.Following a telephone conversation with Microsoft technical support it seems that Microsoft have dropped support for CID in their Teams Phone client 1449/1.0.94.2023020602 and newer. My 'VIP' user has rejected the phone as CID is very important to the way they work so they are going to continue to use the Windows 10 / iOS version of the Teams apps.If you are purchasing this phone to integrate with Microsoft Teams then consider the usefulness of the phone without CID for your particular needs. The VIP team and their support staff certainly need the ability to filter / prioritize calls based upon CID.The device is rather hamstrung without this feature (CID) considering its not the generic phone but rather the specific 'Certified Microsoft Teams Version'.We now have an additional 'expensive' paperweight in the office.
