This device lives up to its name -- perfect for giving that extra resistance needed for standing up from low soft seats like a couch. Its advantage (besides economy and simplicity) over a lift device/chair is that it helps build upper body strength -- something necessary for using a walker (which is usually an inevitability later on). A very clever idea, a device well made with plenty of flexibility to accommodate many seating widths and heights. Only caveat is it can't be easily used with one piece slipcovers since the supports go under couch cushion. Definitely not a deal breaker. Usefulness far outweighs that inconvenience! Highly recommend.

I bought the Stander EZ Stand-N-Go for my father-in-law, who struggles to stand without assistance. One of the best products I have ever purchased. This product has been a serious game-changer. He prefers sitting on the sofa, and the Stand-N-Go provides the support he needs to stand by himself. The adjustable height and width was easy to customize to his sofa, and the sturdy construction gives him confidence and independence to sit and stand on his own. The EZ Send-N-Go was incredibly simple to install -- it took me less than 15 minutes to put together, adjust to a comfortable height and width for my father-in-law and install on the sofa. It blends in fairly well with the living room furniture. He now has more confidence and freedom, reducing the need for constant help. Highly recommended for anyone needing extra support to stand from seated positions.

Update: My mom has used these now for almost two months. Very single nurse or therapist that has come into our home has loved them and why they do for her! We have found this to be beyond helpful. When my mom had a stroke, I had to find ways to help her keep her independence and this has been awesome! She is able to use the tools she has learned in rehab and apply them here at home. I assembled this in 10 minutes or so. It was easy and the build is intuitive. It is adjustable depending on the size of your couch/chair cushion and the height that works best for you. Note: This fits right under your couch/chair cushion. It does not attach to your furniture. Everyone loves it! It makes getting up easier for my mom. It helps prevent skin tears and bruises from people trying to help. It also helps her keep her muscle tone improved because she is not dependent on others to help her stand up. Great price point with overall wrest quality! Very helpful for us and highly recommended!

Dad loves this. He uses it multiple times a day to push up from a seated position on the sofa. Easy to assemble and durable considering how much use it is getting. Just recently has worked a little loose, I need to see if something needs to be tightened up. In place, daily use for over one year.

Bought this at the suggestion of a friend...am not as happy with mine as she is with hers. I had a terribly difficult time putting this thing together and two connections are still not great. While I got it to fit the piece of furniture, the frame totally screws up the cushion that it is set for...which screws up the alignment of all the other couch cushions. We end up with one less place for someone to sit just so I can haul myself up and down from a low couch. No good! I am going to move this to a wide chair where I only have to deal with one cushion. Currently looking through Amazon for a different style that will work for a multi-cushion seat without having to be jammed in between the couch frame and the cushion. It looks better than it works, at least for me.

My Mom is in her mid-80's and stability/balance can be issues at times. Her favorite fixed-base rocker has padded arms and caused her uneveness in rising. This device is a blessing! It is sturdy, well-made and assembles easily. It is great for her need to push down on her palms as opposed to gripping a straight-back handle and flexing her wrists sideways. We left the legs up a click or two from the floor. This allows rocking and then is solid when she presses down to get up - the rubber-tipped feed DO plant solidly on the floor. Also - the chair cushion does not have to be removable! We were dismayed but realized that the device easily fits around the cushion and then down as it should. The permanent cushion actually adds security. This is a great product.

This product has been a life saver! My husband had ballooned up to 360 lbs and was unable to get up and down without help. I ordered this 2 days before he was hospitalized for 5 days. My son in law helped me get a bed moved into the living room and put this product together for me but I could have easily done that part myself. To say my husband was weak when he came home would be an understatement! He lost 22 pounds of fluid in 5 days but still was needing to be pulled up while in the hospital. At home with this device he was able to use his arms and legs to raise up and sit down. It saved my body as well as his. He is down another 12 pounds of fluid and continues to improve and uses this device multiple times daily! It is very sturdy and has no trouble with his weight. My only complaint is that the pegs that slide through both bars to hold the hand grips on fall out often. I feel there may need to be a pin and clip there in stead of the way it slides in. But even that flaw doesn’t change my opinion of this product. For both of us, him the person using it and me the caregiver that is no longer the pulling post, it has been excellent!

A little finicky to put together but I figured it out. Even with the screws fully tightened it still feels a little shoogly but it might just need time to get used to. I would definitely supervise whoever is using it at least at first as my mum feels a little unsure about it and I want to make sure it will be steady to support her as she stands up. I think the hand grips could use another couple of holes so you can raise them a little. I am definitely pleased it sits flush with the sofa as I was worried it might stick out like a trip hazard but it doesn’t seem like that will be an issue. A little padding on the hand holds might be an idea but overall I’m satisfied with it.

The product is a simple design, well made, excellent value for the money and very practical. As an engineer, I'd be hard pressed to build something comparable and certainly could not do so for the price. I am awaiting two hip replacements and have some difficulty standing up from a couch or low chair. From my personal experience, I've placed a piece of 6" thick high density foam on the seat cushion to enable me to sit higher than normal. The EZ stand can be adjusted to suit the elevated cushion height, and relieves the strain of standing from a low position. I'm very satisfied with the product and happy with the purchase. Delivery was excellent.

A bit complicated to set up but very good to help to lift yourself up

Purchase this for my elderly mother to try and sit up out of her chair properly. Works really well adjusts nice and is easy to wipe down.
