Is not the true Dao. The commentaries may chill a need for some people, but i found them quite interpretive, this biased, this limiting. I remember that when j first tried to read the Dao Deh, it was a challenge, but i did find meanings for me. Everyone can do this: the book is not beyond our understanding. If i agreed with the editors's interpretation out would be easier to be accepting, but i don't. Dad the classic translation, but caution with the comments!

The "interpretations" are basically just re-wordings of the 81 teachings with obvious insights. What really irritated me was that I found at least 50 blatant typos - misspellings, abutting words, missing punctuation - as if no one bothered to look at the final draft before sending it to the publisher, who apparently, in turn, will print anything that's sent to them without looking at it first. Sorry.
