Exactly what I'd hoped for! Pricey, but worth it -- very easy to install, once I figured out about the pinching-in of the insert. It can be placed on the boat's sheer with the lip down or up (MY preference). Very pleased with the sharp look!

Laid it in the yard for a couple of hours to make it more pliable, and it went on smooth as silk on my 47 year old 15' skiff. Very pleased.

I am refurbishing a 2012 Yamaha. The old gunwale was is really rough shape. The original Yamaha gunwale was fitted. It was some type of pre-shaped metal with rubber on it. So the original fitment was very good. During the install, I datummed from where the bottom hull molding met the top. The result was not perfect. So the shape is not match a clear flowing line. Rather a slightly choppy flow. So for Yamaha owners, that is an FYI. As for the install, the base was easy. Drill a pilot hole, and install the screw. The holes are on the gunwale already every 6 inches or so. However, the smaller extrusion was AWFUL to install. The only way I was able to get the small extrusion to install was by datuming the bottom lip of the inner to the outer, and taking a flat head screw driver and pushing it in millimeter by milliliter, , , for all 48 ish freaking feet around the vessel. My fingers really hurt. That is another thing. I don't think this thing is 50' in length. I didn't measure, but I think it is cut short by a couple of feet. Overall the product is good, but good grief, I don't ever want to install one again.

The rub rail kit fit great.. came with screws, though i may change to bolts because of the exposure under my gunnel rail channel.
