TitebondFranklin International 5063 Titebond Original Wood Glue, 8-Ounce 2-Pack

Saw this on a YouTube vid and wanted to see what it was like. I wasn't really sure what to expect as specialist products like this are either extremely difficult to source in NZ or horribly expensive (or frequently both).I was disturbed to read an earlier review that claimed the the glue didn't dry clear. Not sure what prompted that PoV but I relieved to discover that that wasn't the case as I'm using it to construct a couple of raised planters (and yes, I know that it's not intended for outside use but I didn't realise that when I ordered it).What I found was that it seems to be some sort of super PVA but much stickier. I'd like to use it for my woodworking moving forwards but that is highly dependent upon whether the supplier will continue to ship to NZ in the future. I've had other products where the supplier ships to NZ a few times and then at some point no longer do so. Continuity of supply is always a concern.Apart from being stickier than PVA, I also found that it was easy to remove excess from surfaces and hands (if accidental contact).A couple of things that I absolutely have to mention. The glue is good and fit for purpose of course... but the cap on the bottle. Whoever designed that should be given a medal. It's a first rate applicator nozzle with the ability to fine tune how much glue is being applied. And when finished it closes with a push which seals the bottleSecondly, I must mention the care taken by the supplier. When shipped to me, each bottle cap was wrapped in tape to ensure that the cap stayed sealed and therefore did not leak during transit. Kudos to the supplier.

I always use Titebond Original Interior glue on all of my projects. It has plenty of set up time and cures in over 2-3 hours. I always brush the glue on the wood surface to get an even coverage and clamp the boards together until I see a little oozing of glue. After sanding, the wood takes a good stain with no glue marks visible. Keep in mind this is for interior projects only and is not water resistant for outdoor projects.

Original is not waterproof, so not rated. Works GREAT!

I’ve repaired Wooden cabinets. I’ve built up stripped wood screw holes with shavings. I’ve fixed issues with high end Martin Guitars with over drilled headstock tuning machine screw holes. I’m getting ready to tackle some old wooden chairs to make them functional again.

Great price. I wish I had discovered this incredible wood glue years ago! Especially since I started building guitars. I absolutely love it!!

This glue is the best you can get for model rocket building.

Worked like how it’s supposed to for the wooden figurine I had to fix.
