This is the exact part I needed for my Whirlpool washer, model W10787836. I was getting the "F5" error code with my old switch, I looked up a video to replace it with the new one and reset the washer, now it's good as new! A Washer that was bought 6 months ago needed a locking device otherwise it would have been time to put the washer to sleep. Knowing how much labor costs for appliances + laundry piling up decided to try to fix on my own. I removed the locking system that was faulty & searched online for one to replace it. Greatfully I found one on Amazon & it only took 2 days to arrive (AWESOME!!). This part was so easy to install + it only took roughly 5 minutes to install. It took longer to put the washer back together than it did to install the part.Next step was to see of it'd work so put a load of laundry into the wash & TADA it worked 😁. Best part a female did all of the repairs! Few weeks later & washer is working great!!
