Excellent product-- no more plastic bags
These are wide enough for home made baguettes and long enough for store bought. Great product and easy to clean. Good in the freezer and on the counter. Nice clip.

READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION before giving out 1-star reviews!
They are very specific in saying that these bags are not designed to lengthen the life of your bread, yet so many people seem to be dinging them for not doing exactly that. Here's why I like this product (for doing what it is intended to do): it is *not* (and should not be) airtight! We all know bread exposed to open air will dry out quicker than when kept in a container. So, as with many foods, people seem to think that an airtight container is the solution. With bread it's not. Sealing bread in a plastic container may delay the hardening of the bread, but it's not extending its freshness, just its "softness" — and it's soft because the moisture is trapped inside. Moisture results in mold spores (even those you cannnot see) — if that's what you want, have at it.No, bread needs *some* air, some degree of breathability. And, like a bread box, this bread bag offers that. The other bread bags you see on here that that are cotton/linen on the outside, but have plastic or silicone liners may just as well be Ziplock bags — they achieve the same thing. And while this product (from Think4Earth) is made from recycled plastic bottles (kudos to them) neither the inner nor outer lining is "plastic" — they're a tightly woven textile similar to nylon (sure, synthetic — it's still made from plastic bottles, after all!). But any woven textile (that I can think of) will allow for airflow, i.e. will not be airtight, which is good. A cotton/linen bag alone is probably too loose of a weave, and result in too much air exposure. These bags will allow for just the right amount of breathability, delaying the hardening of the bread somewhat, while NOT trapping moisture in with the bread. The roll and clip feature to close the bag allows you to press most of the air out, while preventing the bag from expanding. Result: limited airflow. And if you really want to extend the life of your bread, you need to freeze it. Here again, these bags are optimal for that: the double lining protects from freezer burn, while the breathability means you can thaw the bread still in the bag. (You should not do this with plastic/airtight bags when thawing). So it's a solid product. And no, I'm not a spokesperson nor do I know anybody who works for the company. I give it four stars, because I rarely give out five stars anymore (and too many products are diluted with some amount of paid five-star reviews to up their rating.) Just know that I am happy with my purchase and would recommend these bread bags.

Nice quality but not airtight
Edit: looking at the listing again they note that the product is not intended to extend the life of the loaf. Good customer service. While I like the quality and the fact that this is made from recycled materials, my n m an concern is that it's not airtight as the seams are not taped and the baguette will go stale faster than a plastic bag.

Good for short term freezer storage only
This is a great idea but only good for short term storage in the freezer. Any longer than a couple weeks and the bread will start to dry out. Unfortunately I will stick with plastic bags.
