The wood is rough and dirty when I get it. I wash and sand until it is relatively smooth. Every wooden board is different making each sign unique.. Every piece of wood will have knots, small surface cracks, holes or other "imperfections." I never try to hide these elements or disguise them. Making each sign “ONE OF A KIND”! After the customer orders a sign, the customer selects color background and colors for the letters and drawings. A color chart is provided and I only work with these colors. If this is a custom made sign, then we discuss wood size, design and colors. All signs are hand painted and hand drawn by me. Aged and distressed. Finished with polyurethane or a light wax for preservation. If requested I can spray a special outdoor sealer to protect the sign for outdoors. Each sign has a sawtooth hanger and is ready to hang.
