Q: Is the material breathable? I want to give it to my infant.

I wouldn't call this breathable material. It's not a mesh material with breathable holes. It's a thin soft fabric, best suited for babies/children over a year old--if you're planning on it being a crib friend. otherwise, I'd recommend it to a younger infant to snuggle with during the day only, while the infant is supervised. Hope that helps!

No rattle. Super soft though, we have three of them because we had almost lost the original and my daughter was distraught! She loves it.

Q: What is the difference between the regular and Limited edition giraffe?

Not exactly sure. But I was disappointed with it. It was thin and not well made I felt.
