A Trusty, Reliable and Efficient Sander for all DIY Projects
I purchased the Bosch Home and Garden Belt Sander PBS 75 A somewhat 14 months ago now, and I have to say, it has exceeded my expectations. As a DIY enthusiast, I was searching for a reliable and efficient tool for various home improvement projects, and this sander fits the bill perfectly. The 710 W motor provides more than enough power for my needs, allowing me to tackle both light sanding tasks and more demanding jobs with ease. I’ve used it on wood surfaces, from furniture restoration to decking preparation, and it has delivered excellent results every time. The sanding speed is impressive, whilst smoothing out surfaces quickly without leaving any unsightly marks. One of the standout features of the PBS 75 A is its ergonomic design. The grip is comfortable, and I can operate it for extended periods without fatigue. The adjustable sanding belt tension is a great feature, allowing for easy changes of the belts - something I appreciate since I frequently switch grits for various tasks. Additionally, the integrated dust collection system works quite well, helping to keep my workspace cleaner than I expected.Bosch has built a reputation for quality, and this product is no exception. The materials feel durable, and the overall build gives me confidence in its longevity. Even after many uses, there are no signs of wear or tear, which is quite encouraging for this price range. If I had to point out a few downsides, I would mention that it can be a bit noisy at times, so using ear protection might be a good idea, especially during prolonged use. Additionally, while the weight is manageable, some users may find it slightly on the heavier side compared to other models. However, for me, the benefits far outweigh these minor inconveniences.Overall, I highly recommend the Bosch Home and Garden Belt Sander PBS 75 A for anyone looking for a dependable and effective sander. Whether you’re a seasoned DIYer or just starting, this tool will certainly meet your needs. The combination of performance, ease of use, and quality makes it a great investment for any toolkit and homeowner!.Would I buy it again? Absolutely!

A very sturdy and powerful vacuum
Great cross over functionality again from Bosch cordless tools, common battery across the range. I tend to use around the kitchen but it would easily do stairs, car, down the back of the sofa etc. I have used other battery cordless vacs but this one certainly packs more punch and is definitely more robust. There is a fair bit of back draft from the filter vent which is indicative of the power and suction available. I’ve had no problems with battery duration and emptying the collection chamber can’t be any easier as is accessing the filter to give it a clear out once in a while. Accessories in the form of two brush fittings, nozzle and extension tubes complete the package. A great tool as are the other associated Bosch offerings using the same battery.

Check if your existing 18v battery and charger are compatible....
I bought this as a standalone item with a new 18v 2.5Ah battery but without charger, expecting my existing Bosch 18v charger to be sufficient. Not. However, the good news was that the existing 1.5Ah batteries I already have quite happily drive the vacuum.I emailed BOSCH UK to check for the correct charger, which they kindly informed me is the BOSCH AL 18V-44 @ ÂŁ35.71 (inclusive of VAT and shipping) directly from them. This charges all generations of batteries, which is a bonus when charging 2 x 1.5Ah, now able to use both chargers at once.Performance is good with powerful suction for such a lightweight appliance. The cleaning tools provided are a bit inadequate, as I found previously with much larger BOSCH canister vacuums. Since I have a good collection of adaptor tubes and cleaning heads saved from many previous brands of cleaner, I customised brush, and open head, attachments which proved generally to be more robust in practice. The older open head accessory works very well on stairs, fitted directly to the appliance with a single short adaptor tube (Amazon has these kits). I would probably never use the flimsy long extension tubes BOSCH included, as it places too much leverage on the unit, and anyway, I have the excellent BOSCH canister machines with customised stainless steel long-reach accessories for such applications.I think this is good value for money, although battery and compatible charger are an additional cost. BOSCH engineering has proved to be very durable, and the electrics are of reliably high performance. Good dust filters incorporated.I chose this model for its small, handheld, close-up cleaning for tight corners, and because it fitted in with existing BOSCH appliances....despite requiring a charger upgrade, which fortunately is now known to be retrospectively compatible.

Great for the occasional woodworker
Long-lasting performance with a clever clamping system:I've been using this Bosch belt sander for years, and it's consistently reliable and powerful for tackling a variety of sanding tasks. It's built like a tank, so I feel confident using it.My only gripe: While the sander itself is fantastic, the maximum sanding belt width feels a bit limiting for my taste. This means bigger jobs might require switching belts more often than I'd like.Clever workaround: One big plus point is the inclusion of two clamps. These allow you to secure the sander upside down to a table, giving you excellent control and stability for precise sanding tasks.Overall:If you're looking for a durable and versatile belt sander for your workshop, the Bosch definitely deserves a look. Just be aware of the narrower belt width if you anticipate tackling large projects frequently. The clamping system is a great bonus for fine-grained sanding, making it a well-rounded tool for both beginners and experienced woodworkers.
