Eureka!SPRK Portable Butane Camping Grill

I have other grills that I don't use but was intrigued by this one because it runs on butane fuel and had never seen a butane grill before. I have a butane stove in my camper and had butane canisters on hand and thought I'd give this grill a try. Being a vegan, I don't grill often but enjoy grilled veggies, etc. Grilling that doesn't require propane, electricity, charcoal, fuel, lighters or a long wait for the charcoal to be sufficiently heated is definitely a plus. This SPRK grill is more substantial and well made than I imagined and not at all lightweight and flimsy. A few days ago I used it to make veggie kabobs which turned out perfectly. The butane fuel is easy to find in stores, easy to use and makes grilling enjoyable again. This grill is easy to turn on and off, easy to assemble and everything washes up nicely. A bonus is the very sturdy and well made carrying case which makes the grill very portable. If you like grilling on a portable grill with easy clean-up, the SPRK grill is the grill for you...just get it!

I wanted a camping grill that I didn’t need to spend hours cleaning, was able to cook at least 4 burgers at a time, and one that didn’t take up a ton of room. This fit the bill! This is by far the easiest grill to clean! It’s light weight, runs on smaller butane cans, lights up the first try, and comes with a great secure carrying case! I love it! Best $100 I’ve spent!Update* After using this quite a few times for camping, there is one thing that I wish was different. While it’s still easy to disassemble and clean the inside, the grill grates are impossible to clean completely and the food sticks to the grates even if I use any type of grease/butter etc. I have even soaked the grate when I got home and it still is stuck. Not sure what the grate is coated in but…. It would add weight but I wish the grate was cast iron.

This unit was a good size for our VW van. We could set it up on the panic table and were able to grill kabobs without charcoal or fire. In the west we have fire dangers so this was really nice. Easy to clean. Comes in a little carrying case. It gets pretty hot and kind of melted my plastic table cloth. I might take something to go under it. I mean, the table cloth is still okay but it gets pretty warm. That being said, it took a while to cook but we were not in a hurry. That's camping right?Good quality materials. I'd buy it again. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for weight is that you couldn't carry it in a pack. Just fine for a camper or car camping.

Space and weight is always the issue when packing for a camp trip, even when you have a camper. I needed something that could accommodate 1 or 2 people and wasn’t a space hog. After looking around this was the only one that really fit the bill and it came with it’s own hard shell case. Was I happy with the price or the fact it required BUTANE, NO. However, I overlooked all of that based on it being a Eureka product and it checked the boxes. I have used it several times now and I have a few observations. The set-up with the butane is easy. The grill section is a teflon like coated cast iron. It cleans easily with soap, water and some kind of gentle scrubbing utensil. The drip pan below, not so much. The actual grilling aspect can best be described as slow. This is given the instruction which directs the user to NOT use the appliance on the highest setting. There are no markings on the dial other that high/start, low and off. This really slows down the process considerably. Also, the lack of a lid make a noticeable difference in the efficiency of the cooking but, of course, that’s what contributes to the small foot print. However, a simple tent of aluminum foil works just fine. As with anything new, it will take a few uses to adjust. I’m happy to sacrifice speed in grilling for the smaller foot print and weight. I would recommend this to those who are camping small. Whether it be a tear drop camper like mine, van living or car camping, this might be just the ticket.

Very portable and convenient for a small grill

We have a small travel trailer and have been hauling around a larger BBQ. As vegetarians we love kabobs and stuff but don''t need a large unit for just the two of us. This is just the perfect size for us to BBQ outside along with our butane single burner camp stove. It was great value for the money also. I have a silicon mat that it sits on when I use it on a picnic table. Easy to set up and use and pretty easy to clean up. Highly recommend.

I love that it’s portable. I often go to the beach and camping. I recommend a wind shield if your using it at the beach. I would have loved if it was propane instead of butane or an option for either. The exterior is a bit sensitive so careful not to bend it or push down on. The grill is easy to clean, but the inner pan where the grease falls is hard to clean so I recommend to put foil and don’t cover the hole for the grease to flow to the grease pan.

I gave it 5 stars because it’s easy to clean, it’s easy to use and it is lite weight.I gave it one star because, it would light up easily.I bought a similar grill from Amazon and it is identical and it works great everytime

Just cooked my first steak on it, about 7 minutes on each side and then searing the sides. I think this'll pair nicely with a butane torch to char the fat. Gets to temperature and cools down at a decent pace. Highly recommend!
