Nice but not very durable
Headline kind of sums it up. Everything works well and looks great, but it does seem very flimsy. I don't think that's too much of an issue unless you are trying to do some extreme sports analog mathematics.

Beads glide easily, and stay put!
This soroban is much better than my wooden one. The beads glide easily, and yet they stay in place (the ones on my old wooden soroban are loose on the rods). That said, I do wish this one had a reset button, but you have to reset it with your finger. For that reason, I only gave it four stars.

Reasonable price
Despite my disappointment at the size, I keep reminding myself that it's only $9. If is cheap and looks cheap. Still, it will serve it's purpose for me. I want to learn to use it. I think it's a reasonable option if you don't have high expectations. It is only $9.
