Q: How do they hold up in the microwave? Does the bowl become too hot whereas the food stays luke warm?

Hi, I usually reheat only on high heat; maybe a minute at most and I find the bowls will get quite hot on the bottom. But I can take them out by the sides which are mildly warm without a potholder. However, all microwaves are different and it also depends on your power setting. I keep mine at 100% all the time. I really like the Sweese brand. They wash up great in dishwasher or by hand. So far, no scratch marks from knives and forks. They are sturdy. Color seems to be quite saturated. I have the hot colors which add a nice pop of color. I would buy again definitely. Hope this helps!

Q: What is the diameter of the top of the bowl and the height of the bowl ?

Top diameter is 5 inches (4.5 opposite direction- not a circle) height just shy of 2.5 inches and curves down from there. That's the tallest point

Q: Are they microwave safe ?

Two of my bowls cracked while in the microwave. I purchased them early Dec 2020 and am in the process of contacting customer support and no luck!
